I'm no Donald Trump fan. The guy has no filters and doesn't seem at all presidential. I agree Trump looks bad for this.
On the other hand my wife calls herself and all her family Irish even though she was born in Detroit and has never been to Ireland.

The Supreme court can certainly raise some concerns...... but....... 9-0 decisions are by far the most common votes. But we only pay attention to a couple hot button issues every session that end up 5-4.

Re: Insomnia & the Election: An Open Letter to my Forum Frie
Personally I think the "machine" that is the United States of America is bigger than any president. The republicans "survived" Jimmy Carter and the democrat's "survived" Ronald Regan. We the people will survive the next president...except of course the 2.6 million people who die every year in Americ...

Re: Dan Leach
I'm going against the grain here and say I don't mind Dan Leach. I find him very "tolerable" on my "could I drink a couple beers with that guy" grading scale.
Of course I'm the same guy who likes Terry Foster and the "Ryan and Rico" show.![Wink ](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)

Re: Damn Global Warming...
Oh no, not another global warming debate. These are almost as useless as gun control debates. I've pretty much settled on this stance: Is the earth getting warmer? Probably. Is man contributing to the earth getting warmer? Probably. Do we know how much man is contributing to the earth getting warme...

Re: Speed limits
Otherwise if it were up to me I'd have a 65 MPH speed limit on interstate with a strict enforcement at 10 over being speeding (at 75 MPH) That seems to be theme I don't understand. If tickets don't start till 75MPH why not just set it 75 and enforce at 75? And if the speed limit is 65 nothing stops...

Re: Speed limits
If you google up 85th percentile studies all indicate raising the speed limit to the 85th percentile does not raise the whole bar. This proposal is based on 85th percentile theory. Here is just one link of numerous you can find. http://onlinemanuals.txdot.gov/txdotmanuals/szn/determining_the_85th_pe...

Re: worth updating GPS in a 2008 car?
you can buy a GPS on Amazon for under $100, some as low as $50. At that price you can throw them away when they are outdated. Plus you can use them in any car and they don't chew up data on your cell phone.

I would say new roads may appear but old roads rarely go away. So worst comes to worst it might not get you the most direct route in some cases.

As a middle of the road moderate I am siding with my more conservative friends. The headline is misleading and the story has no point really.

I am no Donald Trump fan at all....not one bit.
But in the video clip they played he actually answered the question asked in the first sentence before going in to his ramble. Makes me question the intelligence, or perhaps agenda, of Chuck Todd and Andrea Mitchell.

Re: Palin in ICU
If people like a sitting president they often attribute everything good to him and everything bad to circumstances beyond his control. Of course the flip side is equally true. If they don't like him everything bad is his fault and everything good happens despite him and would have been even better w...
