Re: Assign yourself a social class

I zoned out in 9th grade Algebra class. Teacher was a nice guy, but quite monotone. My seat was next to the open classroom door. The school piped the local Beautiful Music station through the hallway speakers. I will say it was quite relaxing.

He/She will have a good time. Are there co-ed jails in Florida?
If the perp is a biological male but claims to be a 'she' legally (in court?), do they have to be put in a female prison if they're sentenced?
Being it's Florida, counting on that would be a waste of time.

Mod Squad was a great show! It's fun to watch now with the 60's lingo.

From the looks of the video the robber didn't plan his getaway very well.

The funny part is she posed for pics. Those won't leak out in 2021. :lol

Re: Dan Bongino Show Starts Monday 5-24-2021 On WJR

Air America had a good run. Tens of millions of dollars were spent on it. Nobody listened. :lol The only personality I listened to on Air America was Lionel. Followed him there from his time at WOR. He was fun to listen to back in the day, although since moving to YouTube he has pretty much gone of...

Re: Homemade AM Antenna

So kind of a beverage antenna with the far end grounded? That's what I thought at first. On second look it appears that one end of the coil clips to the ground, positioned a few feet from where the coil sits next to the radio. The other end clips to the extended antenna wire that is strung out (hen...

Homemade AM Antenna

Got this in an email from CCrane. Looks like an interesting project:

Make Your Own AM Antenna for Free

Well, not exactly free. Your do have spring for a few materials, but you could probably get it done for less than 20 bucks.

Re: U Of M Fresh Air Camp (1978)

I do remember Deacon Blues getting a lot of airplay in the summer of '78. We took a family trip to Copper Harbor that August. Andy Gibb's Everlasting Love was getting a lot of play by that time, as was Yvonne Elliman's If I Can't Have You . The motel we stayed in at Copper Harbor was across from a r...

Funny that I don't recognize any of those shows with the exception of The Simpsons, Blackish and Supergirl.

Knew there was a McGyver reboot. Never saw it.

Re: FCC repack

During analog days WLNS was considered to be in the Flint market. In part due to WKNX/WEYI having little to no signal in Flint in the 50s-70s Not to mention that most viewers had no idea that channel 57->25 existed, because their channel knobs maxed out at channel 13. Quite true. It wasn't until 19...

Re: Ellen ending her talk show, what’s next?

Never really watched her daytime show (guess I'm not the demographic), but daytime fare in general has become pretty stale, especially in light of the production changes resulting from COVID. It's pretty much glorified Zoom calls these days.

Re: U Of M Fresh Air Camp (1978)

"Meatballs" was filmed somewhere in Canada!! Probably cheaper to produce there, plus the scenic location. On a side note, I took my radio with me to Y camp that year so I could tune in stations and listen to music in my free time. Gerry Rafferty's Baker Street led the Pop charts in the summer of '7...
