You are assuming journalists go to school.

Re: Tri Cities Ratings
A few observations: I’d love to know what the ratings are for the McDonald Broadcasting stations. KCQ used to be #1 or close to it. Wondering also where Joe FM comes in No idea where Joe FM falls but for KCQ your words "used to be" is the operative phrase. Except for one or two dayparts here and th...

Re: "We cannot play two females back-to-back"
Keep in mind this is the same station who's music director created a similar controversy by equating female artists to tomatoes. http://www.cmt.com/news/1754800/men-are-lettuce-women-are-tomatoes/ The current dust up wouldn't surprise me if Keith was still working for them or if Greg Cole were still...

Re: What happened to Jennifer Profitt?
By "actual employment records" I did not mean to imply that I had access to an official document ...but there is a record of when she began working, thus a record of when her employment began. Mlive article from April of 2015... https://www.mlive.com/news/flint/2015/04/fox_66_news_program_to_launch....

Who thinks that air talent has a say in what is played anymore? Even with a special feature such as this where the talent may have a smidgen of freedom to pick a song out of rotation, you are at the mercy of a selection of songs approved by the consultant in the playlist so you do the best you can.

Re: What happened to Jennifer Profitt?
The promo began in September of 2018. She left less than 8 months later. Instead of a promo why not look at actual employment records...Jennifer started at 25/66 in 2015 as did her segment. And, to put another of your fantasies to rest, there were only one or two syndicated packages per week on the...

Re: 40 years ago in 1979
I remember running a reel-to-reel automation system similar to this one in 1979-1981. I worked on an AM station and the FM was automated easy listening. I had to go in every hour or so and swap out the commercial cartridges in the carousel and change the reels around when necessary. There was some s...

Re: Broadcasting Hotties 2019
Since it's big on the Detroit board, I figured we should have our own. Here's my picks: 5 - Meg McLeod, although Ashlyn Hill is growing on me 12 - Angie is kind of a given imo, although Mallory Pearson is cute 25 - Jeanna Trotman (holy crap), followed closely by Rachelle Spence Anyone wan to bet th...

@lovinlife101: Is your life so fucked up that you have to shit and piss on everything and everybody just to feel better about it? One time. Just.one.time. Let it pass without casting your sour, pathetic shadow.

Re: WIOG is #1 in Saginaw-Bay City; WGER barely defeats Houghton Lake station
WGER should go Classic Hits with the WIOG calls returned (WIOG = W106 back in the day). They could get calls of WPOO" for 102.5! :D Who was that guy with the really deep voice on 'GER... I want to say John Derimus(?) He could put a spastic hyena to sleep and crack glass at the same time! Doremus wa...

They sent it because there was a fire at a Consumers Energy facility. Natural gas production is shut down and they are asking people to reduce use as a rationing measure.
