Does anyone out there remember Alice Cooper's New Wave Phase? (roughly 1979/1983):

Special Forces
Flush The Fashion
Zipper Catches Skin
Dada

Looking Out For Number One by Bachman Turner Overdrive...Kinda had a smooth jazz feel long before there was smooth jazz

Their song Blue Collar has that same loose jazzy feel.

Re: Most Unusual Tracks From Mainstream Top 40 Artists

After Johnny Cash released Hurt, originally done by Nine Inch Nails, nothing seems that weird anymore. He really made it his own.

On Youtube you can find a live cover of Husker Du's New Day Rising by Robert Palmer.

Re: R.I.P. Bozo

Wasn't the NBC weatherman Willard Scott the original Bozo the Clown?
[/quote]

According to Wikipedia Willard Scott was one of the first Bozos, but the first one was Pinto Colvig. Willard Scott was the first Ronald McDonald.

Sure sounds like it. What meds is he on, anyway?

I guess Statins but who knows. Maybe he's taking estrogen and trying to become big Louise.

Re: Sensual songs

Lady Gaga's Born This Way is kind of an improved amped up version of that song.

I don't think I ever watched the VMAs

Re: R.I.P. Bozo

Oopsy was the Wonder Bread of TV clowns. I choose to see Oopsy as more laid back and mellow rather than Wonder Bread. Maybe he spend his time out of Daisyville going to Grateful Dead and Phish concerts. Maybe not. As a kid I always found Bozo too loud and jarring, especially for 6:30 in the morning.

Re: R.I.P. Bozo

Was MR Cervi the first or second Bozo in Detroit? I know Bob McNea, who later became Oopsy, also played Bozo.

Also does anyone out there had the experience of seeing more than one Bozo on TV growing up? If you have how do they compare?

Re: 10”?

Or that Bo Derek/ Dudley Moore movie, (actually that film is kind of boring.)

On a semi related note was Bo Derek really a Ten? She's not unattractive but kind of bland and sterile.
