Re: Lee Iacocca dies at 94

I think he couldn't get along with Ford Jr. so he left and went to Chrysler. He was a true car guy, I thought I heard he was involved in a casino in Deadwood,SD after he retired. You mean Henry Ford II? Ford made him president of the company in 1970, but they never really got along. So, Ford fired ...

Re: Sinclair Seen As Top Bidder At Fox Regional Sports Network Auction

Sinclair is the winner! I forgot that Sinclair already owns Tennis Channel. Byron Allen is going to be a significant investor in the subsidiary Sinclair will be forming to hold the regional sports networks. https://www.detroitnews.com/story/business/2019/05/03/sinclair-purchasing-fox-sports-affilia...

Re: Following Out-of-Market Sports Teams Difficult

I only subscribe to one sports pkg and that's NHLtv. It's only about $135 for the season and I get to see any game. Of course, I watch the Wings on FSD, but I like watching hockey period and will watch any game that might be on, though games that are televised on NBCSports and NHL Network are blacke...

Re: Man, Chrysler/Jeep makes shitty cars...

I have the Start/Stop feature on my 2017 Escape. At first, I thought it was kind of neat, save a few pennies on gas. Now, I turn it off when stopped. When it's on in the summer, and it's hot out, your A/C shuts off every time you stop at a light. So, I figured, the hell with it. I do like the Lane K...

Re: Is Kroger starting a price war in Metro Detroit?

One of the posts that were accidentally purged as a result of the server changeover speculated that Kroger was trying to match Walmart on certain items. On many items, especially private label items (which includes milk), Kroger is now less expensive than Meijer in numerous instances. For brand nam...

Re: Another Global Warming "Lie" Exposed

It was pretty damn hot in the 50's too. I remember we would have a few 100+ degree days in summer. My mom used to make us come in and sit for awhile if it got that hot. Told us she didn't want us getting sunstroke.

TT, they're on HGTV, which is carried by most if not all cable companies. Their show is probably fairly popular and is on quite a bit.

It's Carmen's Fault

Detroit woman tossed a firebomb at Carmen Harlan's house. Reason? Said the Detroit crime rate is Carmen's fault.

I think it would be hilarious to fill a theater with those people who are so politically correct, lock the doors, and make them watch Blazing Saddles.

Re: WOW!!!!

New England won because Tom Brady is awesome and because Atlanta made some of the worst play-calling on both sides of the ball in the 2nd half that I've ever seen in an NFL game. Do you know Atlanta only ran the ball FOUR TIMES after leading 28-3? Yeah, 4 run plays. Here's their play-calling from t...

Re: Sad Charity Pitches

Now, mind you, I am truly all in favor of helping out sick kids and rescuing abandoned animals. But, I am truly hopeful that the Christmas-themed appeals for ASPCA and St. Jude will soon throttle back. The spots running for each feature the same melancholy, monotone voicing, and what could be almos...
