Re: Channel 7 looks very flat footed with its news coverage this early evening

Saw someone mention elsewhere that the State has a relatively new vacant prison in Standish that could easily be used for one of these FEMA hospitals. Just saying... I have a feeling the folks that live in Arenac County, a county with NO reported cases of Covid-19, wouldn't be very pleased with shi...

Given that the TOH news is from “USA Radio News” (which is a conservative leaning radio network), it makes me wonder if WMOM is going to talk radio...

Re: Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer expected to issue coronavirus ‘Stay at home’ order

Haven’t checked here in days due to avoiding sensationalist media (and thus no real reason to go to a broadcasting board). Whitmer should be recalled for this. What a way to crash the economy. Of course she will blame others because nothing is ever her fault. Sounds like her mentor Granholm. I woul...

Re: All local TV meteorologists are terrible at their jobs!!!

I keep it mind one thing when it comes to the weather:

It’s all an educated guess.

None of us can predict the future accurately, much less the weather. On top of it, with this being Michigan and the Great Lakes having a large effect on our weather, it’s a decent crapshoot

I think a permanent "wheel of formats" (not to be confused with 106.7 Detroit's Wheels) needs to be installed: - Mondays: Best of Alice 106.7 - Tuesdays: Best of 106.7 The Drive - Wednesdays: Best of 106.7 The Fox - Thursdays: Best of 106.7 The Beat of Detroit - Fridays: Best of 106.7 The D - Satur...

Re: WJRT is taking a beating on Facebook

I watch ABC12 for my 6pm weekend news (can’t stand TV5 and I watch FOX66 at 10pm) and am getting sick and tired of the weekend amateur hour. Both last night, and especially tonight, were bad I.e. - Stories and commercials just abruptly ending - Cutting away from Gov Whitmer’s press conference for a ...

I’m in Lansing currently and tuned into LAV today. It generally came in loud and clear before their tower issues. Now it comes in but nowhere near like it used to

LAV needs to do what sister station WHEELZ 104.5 in Saginaw is doing – Widen the playlist to include artists that had hits in the 90s. I listened to WHEELZ on the way down state today. Heard Collective Soul, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden in an hours time included in their playlist. They haven’t gotten r...

DAC: there is no loyalty. You can work hard for the white shirts, only to be told that your contract isn’t being renewed, that your services are no longer needed, that despite you doing everything management has asked you to do, that it’s just “business”. I’ve seen too many people in this business ...

I live in Northeast Michigan and rarely am in GR. Had to spend 3 weeks in GR last July and August and a week in January for training. Listened to LAV, GRD and BFX. For such a large city, to say that all these stations underperform and have H*** deficiencies is an understatement. LAV’s playlist is to...

After listening to that demo, it sounds (in the little that I’ve listened to them) like the satellite service on Tawas City’s 106.1 The Point https://thepointfm.net/
