Re: Network programming preemptions by individual stations

Thanks for the info. I wondered if they would put "Chicago PD" on a subchannel or move it to another time on the main channel. Surprised NBC would okay this, since all three "Chicago" series have new episodes tomorrow night and it's during February sweeps.

Re: Bruce Williams Dies...

Wow, almost 87 years old. I remember when he nearly died flying his own airplane. He even hosted Talknet while in the hospital, recovering. One of his signature pieces of advice was to always get an attorney any time you're involved with a real-estate transaction, either buying or selling, whether f...

Re: 100.7 Toledo line up change

A shame for such a station with the history of WABC. I guess they're still making money with all those infomercials, even if nobody is listening to them anymore. Otherwise, what can you do with an old AM station that mainly targets people who remember it as a music station.

Not sure if this is accurate, but I heard that as of tomorrow February 4, Savage is podcast only and is no longer syndicated via terrestrial radio.

Re: 100.7 Toledo line up change

Clark Howard is one of my favorites. Glad they put him on 100.7 as I had been listening to him on AM 800 CKLW, or online via San Francisco's "Real Talk 910" website. Surprised Chris Plant is still on there at all. WABC Radio in New York city replaced him with Fox News's Brian Kilmead as of early Jan...

Re: Network programming preemptions by individual stations

Wow, that brings back some memories! Thanks for that. Not sure when, but eventually "Edge of Night" was shown weekday mornings on WXYZ and I think WDHO. Wondering if WGPR picked up anything in April 1980 that was preempted on other Detroit stations. As mentioned before, channel 62 at some point carr...

I stand corrected on WUPW. RF 26 it is.

Re: Toledo OTA Re-pack TV relocations Questions

Thought I read somewhere that WUPW is scheduled to move to RF 32, but haven't heard anything about that recently so not sure when or if that will happen.

Re: Network programming preemptions by individual stations

WDIV will preempt Jeopardy again this Friday night, January 25 at 7:30, for a local special about the Olympic ice skating tournament this weekend. I wish they would preempt Wheel of Fortune instead, because that show has 3 different contestants every night, while the Jeopardy champion returns to fac...

Its signal is strong in Temperance.
That's probably the only way to get it in Temperance or anywhere in Monroe County, Michigan as Buckeye doesn't show it there, they offer WMYD-TV 20 instead. I don't think Dish or Directv have it either.

I've watched a couple episodes but not a big fan. Usually on opposite Big Bang Theory which I definitely prefer.

I've recently rediscovered it on Ion Television. It's on that channel Monday through Thursday mornings starting at 7:00 until 11:00 AM. The show has become part of my morning routine. In the middle of the 5th season now. Good character development and interesting plot lines.

Re: Hugh Hewitt

He's probably the only left leaning host on Salem's network. Maybe he thinks he can talk sports, either because Rush Limbaugh has been known to talk about his beloved Steelers, and/or because politics and sports have intersected in recent years, particularly in the NFL and NBA.

Wonder what that means for Yes FM in the Toledo/Lima areas. They were never an affiliate but have a similar playlist to what Air-1 had. Yes FM has been marketing themselves as "Positive Beats" for the last several months.

Re: Alternative Rock replaces Progressive Talk in Ashville NC

That's true. When prog. talk was on the fm translator in Ashville, most of their breaks were filled with psas from the network. Not many nationally syndicated hosts for this format anymore, either. Namely, Stephanie Miller, Thom Hartmann and Norman Goldman. I will give Fox News Radio some credit, as...
