Re: Least favorite commercials of all-time
Anything to do with Progressive insurance. Their commercials suck and their insurance products suck.

Re: AM 810 rockford
Their signal is stronger now, than it has been in at least a couple of years. Today on the northeast side of Grand Rapids it stopped on the seek button and there was splatter on both 800 and 820. There has been times when you could barely hear 810 on the northeast side. Probably still only running 5...

AM 810 rockford
Either they now have night time authorization on AM or they are just not shutting down their transmitter after sunset. It's been on 24/7 for several weeks now. If I was a betting man, I'd place my money on the 2nd of those 2 scenarios.

I don't know what they ran, but channel 8 in GR didn't have nightly news on either. They had the impeachment hearings.

I've noticed that too. Apparently nobody at that operation ever listens to their own stations.

Re: End of The Road for WBAI 99.5fm NYC pt 2
Anybody trying to listen to 102.5 out of Grand Rapids isn't listening to much these days. It's been transmitting nothing but a high pitched whine for at least the past 6 weeks. I'm guessing there isn't anybody at that operation that actually listens to their own radio stations.

Re: Brad Ausmus & Joe Maddon
Too Bad the Tigers weren't smart enough to not hire him in the first place. I still have no idea to this day why Dumbrowski, with a championship quality roster in place, hired a guy with absolutely no prior managing experience at any level.

From information I've seen, heard and read, I believe they are now transmitting from the Allendale site.

Frankly, If they want to impeach Trump, put up a viable candidate in the election next fall, and impeach him via the ballot box.

Re: AAA station owned by Nevada Public Radio fails; station taken off the air
Interesting looking at the ratings for Reno. #1 station KKOH operations manager is former West Michigan/Montague native Dan Mason. Dan worked at WLRQ/Whitehall and WMUS/Muskegon before heading out west many years ago.

Re: The Coming End Of Rock and Roll
If one were to go back to 1967-73 Aretha Franklin's music would have been described as Soul and Rock and Roll. Joni Mitchell (even though I can't stand her music) was also called Rock and Roll. After all she was the writer of the song about the Rock and Roll Music Festival Woodstock. Both artists we...

Tom Wyant
It is with great sadness that I make this post about my friend and former co-worker Tom Wyant. Tom passed away this morning at the age of 74. Tom worked at many radio stations during his 50 plus year career. He worked at WMUS and WTRU Muskegon, He was also part owner of WLKI in Angola, Indiana for m...

Re: The Mount Rushmore of American music
FWIW here's mine. 1. Elvis Presley. No real explanation needed. The dominant voice of the first decade of Rock and Roll. 2. Berry Gordy Jr. - Along with the British invasion in the mid 60's, provided dynamic R&B and Soul music out of Detroit/Motown that helped propel Top 40 radio into the giant that...
