David Newman had a couple of stints on WJR evenings 8pm to 11 or so. 80s 90s. I used to get the big boy restaurant foldout mini tiger schedule and prominently circle the nights the tigers were off because I knew David Newman would be on.

In the ratings, from an earlier thread, WWJ is #9 WJR is #16 People simply get their news-talk-traffic-weather elsewhere. And those MSU or UM sponsored informercial hour are truly bottom of the barrel in terms of compelling reason to listen. Same thing for Beaumont or Henry Ford health systems infom...
