The main question is, what would a job like that pay?

Re: Emily Linnert Leaves WOOD's "Daybreak"

Wow there is basically no diversity on the morning show or really their main newscasts. That is amazing. This is 2016.
So you're saying they need to hire a token for diversities sake?

Re: Eric Zane to WBBL

I have to agree. Zane is sounding much more relaxed. With FB&HW, they could bring up most any topic and have some fun with it. It could be a story of a shoplifter in Spokane, or paper mache artist in Toledo.....they could always find a way to poke fun at it....and perhaps point it into another direc...

Good old fashion radio war. Fun times, like we used to have!

When you're in the six figure category and you work for I-Heart, you have a very big target on your back. I bet I know who is next.

Re: Reese Rickards Bounced from IHeart

Not just Iheart, just about every major company is cutting. Have been for almost 10 years now.
If you're still employed in radio, good for you. But we all know, you are on the lay-off list.
The question you need to ask is do you want to join another lay-off list at another station?

Didn't Nanette open up a kiosk at RIvertown Crossings and whitened peoples teeth?

Re: Eric Zane to WBBL

Every morning on my drive I will switch over to Zane and he's always talking to Bill. Not good, funny or even topical. SMH. Does anybody find this cross promotion of any substance? Gotta agree. They banter back and forth complimenting each other. Not compelling to me. Other times I tune in and it i...

Re: Eric Zane to WBBL

I've got to think that WBBL PD, Dave Jaconette and Eric Zane have target and secondary demos defined. I'd be curious to know what those are. One would presume, it is one of the four major men demos. The next question would be, where are these listeners going to come from? I'd say it is safe to say t...

Re: Eric Zane to WBBL

the show isn't entertaining or compelling. While the show does have its moments, it is an also-ran. It's the watered down version of FBHW. Now if FBHW were not a direct competitor, there might be a chance. Listening to the program I hear Zane talking about "show code" and that "the same rules apply...

Re: Eric Zane to WBBL

I don't see this show being a winner, long-term. Hearing Zane half-heartedly discuss sports headlines is not compelling, and he seems beaten and cowed by the firing. The abrasive, unpredictable Eric Zane needs to come back if this show is going to have a prayer because, eventually, the novelty is g...

Re: Eric Zane to WBBL

FBHW had been going more vanilla over the years as they tried to get more syndication. Everything was the free beer and hot wings report You forgot to mention trivia contests. Way too many. Right now, Joe Gassman has done a fairly decent job of sliding into Zane's chair. But I'm sure he now realize...

Re: Eric Zane to WBBL

Wow. I lost all respect for FB&HW. I understand Zane could be a handful, but that's what made the show great. They just sell him out after 15 years? I was really surprised to hear that as well. But he also explained how the culture around WGRD had changed. Made it sound like Russ Hines doesn't "hav...
