Mark, did you see the Atlanta ratings? WFSH took a MASSIVE dump, from an 8.5 to a 4.7. I've never seen that much of a drop in a month's time.

Re: WPON WCXI Updates - 2019
When I worked at 'PON, we had a very specific contract that had to be signed to anyone that wanted to purchase time after pattern change. Weekends in the winter were a bitch, since we had ethnic programs that ran past 5:00pm. I used to hear "YOU LEAVE F***ING POWER UP" on a regular basis.

Johnson was a good enough singer and guitar picker, but too derivative for my taste. I'd put Charley Patton, Leadbelly, or Skip James ahead of Johnson.Vic Doucette wrote: ↑Fri Aug 30, 2019 10:30 amWell, finally ...

Re: Why do they change the songs?!!
Three songs where the original single versions are rarely heard, and hard to find. Make Me Smile-Chicago-Too many outtakes like intro/outro/breaks passed off as the original. Whatcha See Is Whatcha Get-Dramatics-Violin track on intro is apparently from original LP version. December, 1963 (Oh What A...

Re: WSB Atlanta
WSB on clear channel 750 is no longer identifying as WSB 750. Both, on the air and on their web site they don't even mention their AM frequency. They are now calling them selves WSB 95.5. https://www.wsbradio.com/ To better cover the city, simulcast WSBB-FM recently moved from Flowery Branch to the...

Re: Big8radio.com - Online Tribute Radio Station
Are you listening to Big8Radio.com? Former CKLW/CKWW jock and PD Charlie O'Brien is the guy behind this one. They've never played an 80's or 90's song any time I've listened. All 60's and 70's with some 50's mixed in. Some great CanCon rarities, and CKLW airchecks. There is another unrelated station...

Re: Why is Sanilac part of the Detroit DMA?
We had a cottage in Lexington in the 80's and 90's. I don't remember who the provider was, but we had a fairly basic cable lineup that included the Detroit locals as well as CBET and WNEM, and I think WJRT. Comcast/XFINITY serves Lexington now, and carries all of the Detroit locals, as well as CBET ...

Mark Elliot was on afternoons. (Mark Elliot a common air name on radio) He had his own dial-up BBS, that I used on occasion. Those were popular for a while in the 1990's before internet access become more readily available. I fould this post on another BB https://www.radiodiscussions.com/showthread...

Isn't this the same clown that posted as Oldies 84, Steve Korvette, and RadioKev?
Last I checked, the Dairy Queen in Utica wasn't for sale.

Re: A CBS News anchor shake-up could be in the works
I agree. She's not very likable. What CBS execs are too stupid to realize is a big reason their evening news ratings are perennially in third place is because 6PM (or 5PM, as the case may be) local news lead-ins in multiple major markets perform poorly. WCBS, WUSA, WBBM, KCBS, WBZ and, KHOU all fin...

Re: 98.7 The Breeze just ruined itself with new Fresh / RnB playlist
Why doesn’t The Breeze play “We Can’t Hide It Anymore” by Larry Santos (1975) Great tune, When Alan was alive he played it all the tine on Pillow Talk. Great song. There was a time that you could bet on hearing Larry's voice during a television commercial break. I still hear him occasionally when D...
