Re: Detroit Pistons 2023-24

Article is behind a paywall, but I'll link to it anyway. Wojo is calling for Troy Weaver's immediate firing, says the front office needs to be broomed, and points out how numerous other awful teams from three to four years ago made the postseason this year (OKC, Orlando, Minnesota, Indiana) or have ...

They also own 98.5 The Sports Hub in Boston, which is tremendously successful. It's one of the highest billing stations in the entire country. Rock 92.9 does suck, though. Playlist is garbage. The Tampa station (98.7 The Shark) performs fairly well in the ratings given its signal limitations. It use...

Re: BEASLEY MEDIA INITIATES 7% STAFF LAYOFFS

Probably won't affect them much if at all. Maybe they lose a supporting cast member at worst.

I suspect many of the laid off individuals are sales and behind the scenes folks + corporate staff.

Re: The Ongoing Ottawa County Shitshow

The fact a Democrat in that highly conservative district won by a 20 point margin just goes to show how f*cked up today's GOP is.

She subbed on WXYZ briefly last autumn or winter and did well. I am very sorry to learn of her cancer diagnosis and wish her success in kicking cancer's butt.

Re: Weather reporting

My educated guesses as to tornado strength based on damage photos I've seen so far: Portage - EF-2 (I'm going to estimate peak winds of 130 mph) Centerville - EF-1 North of Colon and south of Union City - EF-3. If the photographed home that was obliterated was well constructed and not a modular home...

Re: Weather reporting

WWMT and WZZM both streamed their coverage live in HD on YouTube (I stumbled across that near 7:30 in the evening). That impressed me and makes viewing easy for those of us with a smart TV.

I had to watch WOOD's coverage via their website on my smartphone.

Re: Weather reporting

WOOD TV in Grand Rapids has been excellent with storm coverage. I've been streaming them via woodtv.com frequently since about 5:45 this afternoon. Nasty storm moving thru Livingston County right now. This same cell produced a tornado earlier. I will say I think the severe weather threat east of 275...

Re: Weather reporting

Looks like a strong to intense tornado is carving a path thru St. Joseph and Branch counties in SW Michigan.

A confirmed tornado also has struck portions of Van Buren and Kalamazoo County, including the city of Portage.

Re: B-93 Birthday Bash... Stick a fork in it?

B93 gained presets because of the tremendous work done in the 90s, 00s and early/mid 2010s. Kids and teens who were exposed to the station in that era likely listen today as adults. Cumulus handed B93 a big gift when they moved WTNR from 94.5 to 107.3. Cumulus did a terrible job promoting the move, ...

Black Betty is a great song. I agree with you regarding the very played out BTO song, though. I also agree Tiny Dancer by Elton John is too wimpy for classic rock in this day & age.
