This post is so prescient it deserved a "bump."MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Sat May 04, 2024 7:20 pmThis is a .500 ball club as constructed. Those expecting this squad to be a playoff contender this year have excessively lofty expectations.

Re: Portage tornado
Fox 17's coverage, streamed on YouTube, was disappointing. Their radar imagery is lower resolution than all other local stations, and the meteorologists seldom if ever mentioned the Portage tornado was large & spotter confirmed. George on 13 seemed out of it at times; Blake Hansen did a great job, t...

Re: More stupidity from Dana Nessel
The suits state attorneys general filed against 3M, et al. for PFAS made sense. Harm in precise physical locations could be directly attributed to the substance. I am unsure how one can prove what portion of climate change can be directly attributed to burning of fossil fuels. I am also unsure how ...

An on-air debate would make for great radio!
Too many talk shows these days are echo chambers for a single ideology and little else.

Derek Falter is out as Market Manager at Cumulus GR; successor named
I suppose LAV's sinking ratings and poor personnel decisions may have cost Mr. Falter his job? Or, in contrast, perhaps he chose to bail on his own? His replacement was the GSM for Cumulus' Dallas, TX sports and news/talk stations. Wouldn't surprise me if Sports makes a return to 107.3. https://radi...

Surfing the dial while traveling on the west side of the state, 104.5 and 106.9 both seemed weaker than normal, and 94.5 The Moose was already walking all over WKLQ by the time I reached Clarksville. WGRD began suffering interference from WJLB near the Ionia exit. These atmospheric / geomagnetic con...

Re: NBA Draft Lottery
The Pistons pick 5th ....again like last year, Houston, with a 3% chance at the #1 pick, win the NBA Draft Lottery... As predicted by me a few times, the NBA has major disdain for the Pistons, weather it be a dislike for Gores, mad about moving from The Palace to LCA, The NBA again screws over The ...

I agree; the way the lottery works today sucks. The prior format was much better.
In my view, the worst team should get 14 balls, the second worst 13 balls, and so on. The least crappy team in the lottery should receive a single ball.

Re: Detroit Pistons 2023-24
Good grief - The Hawks with a minuscule 3% chance of landing the #1 pick won the draft lottery seconds ago.
The Spurs will pick fourth.
Houston also did very well in the lottery (relative to odds) and will make the third selection.
