He was one of the hockey broadcasting greats. I appreciate hockey play-by-play men who don't scream every time a goal is scored.

Some aspects of his on-air demeanor remind me of another legendary sports broadcaster - Keith Jackson.

The fact the Tigers are mediocre at home and great on the road suggests to me the dimensions of Comerica Park remain an issue.

There was nothing wrong with "Action News."

"7 News" does sound cleaner than "7 News Detroit "

"7News Detroit" sounds sterile and generic to me.

One can bypass Chicago itself (though not northwest Indiana and the south suburbs which can also have bad traffic) by taking I-80 to I-39 and 39 up to 90, which then runs back into 94 in Wisconsin.
