Re: WLLZ Applies To Move To Diplex With WDET

WOAI = today's WWWW-FM
WBRB = today's WDKL-FM

All the rest of the call signs are still in use. :)

Re: WWTV at low power?

Isn't WFUP supposed to be a full-time satellite of WFQX? If so, I am surprised WFUP's channel offerings are able to differ from that of WFQX.

Re: Tony Gates Pulled From WLAV

Jackie is why WLAV's numbers have tanked. Their ratings recession coincides with her issues advocacy. Is Michelle McCormick still part of the station? If she remains a central part of the morning show, the recrafted WLAV morning show has potential to be a success. Wasn't Tony Gates on WLAV-FM before...

Re: WWTV at low power?

I'm surprised the off air pickup is so poor. The receive antenna is probably a 100 feet or more above ground level, I would venture to guess. Even at 25 percent power, the WWTV signal should be able to get out decently. That suggests to me WWTV might be using less than 25 percent of licensed power. ...

Re: Red Wings move on from Blashill

I appreciate you taking the time to explain your rationale; thanks. I am a pro analytics guy, too. It can be an important tool if incorporated properly. However, my personal view is some coaches can still succeed with little to no usage of advanced analytics. Like I said earlier, let's see how well ...

Hard copies of their summer forecast would make fine bird cage liner. :)

Re: Red Wings move on from Blashill

Gerald Gallant has never lasted 3 full years in a job. I'm not sure what the fascination with the guy is. He took a friggin' EXPANSION TEAM loaded with cast offs to the STANLEY CUP FINALS. He also racked up a decent W-L record as head coach for the Florida Panthers. The front office of the Panthers...

Re: Lions Draft Picks

I am glad the Lions did not select a QB. The QB class was not particularly strong this year, and if you're going to take a QB to be your future starter, you damn well better do it in the first round. Doing so in one of the later rounds would've been a wasted pick, in all probability. Unless Goff has...

Re: WLLZ Applies To Move To Diplex With WDET

I wonder if WMXD will eventually wind up at the WNIC site? They are going to be short spaced just about anywhere they wind up; the biggest issue obviously being WVKS Toledo. Since WMXD and WVKS are co-owned, I suspect a waiver can be obtained. The WNIC site is probably a no-go for WLLZ since it woul...

Re: Red Wings move on from Blashill

Not to mention - Yzerman and Gallant worked together as part of Team Canada.

Perhaps there is indeed a skeleton or two in the Gallant closet, but if that were the case, it seems to me something would've leaked online by now.

What I do know is this - Gallant's Rangers had a terrific regular season.

Re: Red Wings move on from Blashill

He's gone; it is official. I would've gone ape shit crazy if Yzerman offered him another extension. His exit should have happened a year ago when Gerard Gallant was available. Wings totally fucked over themselves and their fans by not hiring Gallant. Blashill was the second longest single team tenur...

Re: I disagree with our weather forecasters on TV

Now, the models are trending cooler again for next week. Low to mid 60s have now been replaced with upper 50s thanks to expectation of upper level flow mostly coming from Canada? The good news? No May snow is in the forecast unlike each of the past two years. Looks like my predictions in my post fro...

Re: TREASURE TROVE OF OLD MICHIGAN COVERAGE MAPS

I noticed WJR's map was actually one of the more honest ones from the bunch. Their Ontario coverage was exaggerated, but the Michigan and Ohio coverage it depicted was practically spot-on.
