Re: WBMI 1055 Back on the Air
There's not exactly a lot of commercial ad dollars to be had in that area. The limited ad dollars that do exist are scooped up by WUPS, WGDN and perhaps WKJC. There are only about 21,000 year round residents who reside in Ogemaw County. WBMI likely didn't stand a chance continuing operations as a co...

Re: More evidence that Collins, Fauci, and others committed treason
What should scare you more is that there is no commission to do any follow-up on the virus so we know what worked and what did not. Like the 1918 pandemic... Why did more die in Philadelphia than St Louis? What measures were more effective? Why do some counties have a lower or higher rate? One woul...

The "lipstick" is the rebranding and music shift. The "pig" is 107.3 WNWV. The incompetent farmer who is letting his hog shit seep into the nearest river is Rubber City Radio. It's the CLE market. Why not hire an experienced rock programmer with a positive track record? Invest in the station. IMO th...

Re: More evidence that Collins, Fauci, and others committed treason
I would love to know who concocted the Wuhan live animal market / bat bite theory. If any party is guilty of stirring the Asian stereotype pot, it is certainly that one. Why is Fauci commonly referred to as "the nation's leading infectious diseases expert?". Does being a multi generational bureaucra...

It's difficult to say China is an "Enemy," in a legal sense, of the United States when it is (still) our largest trading partner. There was no official declaration, and there is no active declaration, that China is an "Enemy" for foreign policy and commercial purposes. The suggestion that the unethi...

Re: MDOT posts Whitmer campaign signs
Additionally, she advocated for a federal gas moratorium but vetoed a state tax moratorium. I disagree about laying all the blame at Whitmer's feet on this specific matter. Her counterproposal - a moratorium on the state 6% sales tax charged on gas ($0.24 per gallon savings based on a $4 per gallon...

Made it to at least the low 90s in Traverse City today.
Downtown GR also reached 90.
In this part of May in 2021 and 2020, we had temps 25 to almost 35 degrees below normal. Two years ago, we had multiple consecutive days where Metro Detroit witnessed snow showers.

Re: I disagree with our weather forecasters on TV
Wouldn't totally surprise me if one or two spots in SW Michigan briefly touched 90 today. This has been a bizarre weather pattern these past couple days. Whereas SW Michigan has seen dew point readings in the 60s to near 70, Metro Detroit has seen an arid airmass. As I'm typing, the Birmingham and B...

No surprise there. When the TX site was still near Monroe, signal was pretty good in places such as Trenton, Wyandotte and Southgate.
There is also a translator at 98.3 MHz broadcasting from atop the RenCen in downtown Detroit. I believe it rebroadcasts WDMK HD2.

I agree that there is no constitutional right to protest outside of someone's personal residence for an unlimited length of time.
The aspect of the heretofore referenced federal law barring (even peaceful) protests outside of judicial buildings, in my view, is unconstitutional.

Her usage of "call to arms" phrasing was absolutely reckless and should be immediately rescinded. She needs to walk back that statement immediately if she hasn't already done so.

Wouldn't surprise me if the church or ministry he founded still exists and they are paying for airtime.
I turned in early this afternoon just for fun and heard him singing a hymn. He's one hell of a singer! LOL
The interesting thing is the audio sounds better now than it did before.

My guess is the station doesn't generate enough revenue to cover the power bill.
