Re: There have been 334 days and 351 mass shootings this yea
I agree, audio, that BB guns, pellet guns and even muzzle loaders could be exempt from my conceptual proposal. Antique guns as well. I have no problem with states taking action in the absence of federal action. However, most of the actions I listed earlier need universal implementation to be truly e...

Re: Front page of 12/03's NY Daily News
I like Mort Zuckerman and generally believe he is a very smart man with good ideas. However, I do not like much of the message that front page is conveying. There is absolutely nothing wrong with praying for the victims. Furthermore, to pin all blame on libertarian or conservative leaning political ...

Re: There have been 334 days and 351 mass shootings this yea
The fact some people want to interpret a governance document written in the late 1700's in an airtight manner in the year 2015 strikes me as incredibly foolish. Most aspects of society, technology and culture are far different today. You need a license to drive a car anywhere you go in this country....

Re: Good column from Nolan Finley re: road funding
Same here! Spellcheck5000 - kudos to you for an excellent post. You summed up the situation beautifully. I believe that in addition to resolving funding on a recurring basis, a big one time slug of cash needs to be spent on the front end to make up for the many years' worth of maintenance deferrals ...

Re: Good column from Nolan Finley re: road funding
I guess you would rather have the rest of our manufacturing move to the south by lowering the limit below other states? It definitely shouldn't be higher than the surrounding states. You do raise a lot of good points in your previous post, audiophile. The manner in which we treat roads for ice & sn...

Re: Good column from Nolan Finley re: road funding
In a state where the roads are as brittle (and as poorly constructed) as Michigan's, the weight limits should be LESS than the national average, regardless of the number of axles.

Good column from Nolan Finley re: road funding
The road funding legislation that passed both houses in Lansing earlier this week is certainly better than nothing and not as distasteful (at least in my eyes) as Proposal 1. That being said - the morons in Lansing (especially on the house side and in the Governor's office) made this exercise far mo...

Re: Clinton calls 4 exxon probe aft cutting off foundation f
Extortion by a Clinton? Ya' don't say! Want to know what a Hillary presidency might look like? I suggest looking at Argentina. A Hillary presidency would likely be a tempered version of Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner's reign. Disgraced Illinois governor "Blago" learned from the best -- Slick Willie!...

Re: Snyder admin. willfully poisons Flint's water customers
Every P.R. person & press secretary for a government agency, politician or political candidate is nothing more than a shill mouthpiece. I discount 90% of what those people say.

Re: IP Ban
You shouldn't be having issues with that at this point. There were three or four different IP ranges that I banned (due to what appeared to be automated registrations) that turned out to be legitimate. I think I have reversed all of these bannings at this point. Please let me know if you encounter a...

Re: RNC Suspends NBC, Trump, Carson Support
To refer to candidates' campaigns as something out of a comic book and to disagree with candidates' positions/claims before even posing a question was completely inappropriate conduct on the part of CNBC. The first 45 minutes of the debate was chaotic and horribly mismanaged. The CNBC panel appeared...

Re: 2016 Presidential Polls
I agree with earlier posts here. Jeb Bush is toast.
His debate performance last night was very weak. He was nearly invisible. He also looks to be in poor health, but this could be incorrect conjecture on my part.

Re: Snyder admin. willfully poisons Flint's water customers
I interpreted the following comments from you as a personal attack against me: I don't think the people excoriating Governor Snyder and blaming him for the Flint water problems on this board give two hoots about the children and people of Flint getting too much Lead in their water. If that was not y...
