I have the answer, because it doesn't "test well" among people that take tests to win tickets to a concert that was selling so poorly the promotor gave the station a bunch of tickets.

Bell Media doesn't give a shit about radio period. They wanted the cable TV properties and are bleeding the radio properties for cash flow. I think 89X has 1 full time employee.

Don't listen to 89X anymore, just not my taste in music, I do think its smart that they finally made 89X not sound almost exactly like its sister station (The River). Also agree with you about the music programs on WDET, also like that they have added Marketplace and The Daily at 6pm.

Actually, paying subscribers now can not see the ratings for 89X and the River, the stations have apparantly turned off their encoders or Neilsen has blocked their numbers from appearing.
