Re: 2020 Presidential Polls

If I were Pence I'd be pissed but who knows maybe he can't take it anymore, always having the unwavering support for the Pres. Are you kidding me? Pence could be in porno films he sucks ass so well. Indiana will sure be upset when they have to take him back in January. What the hell is your problem...

Re: Please someone defend the confederate flag

Flying a confederate flag is protected by the First Amendment, just as is burning the American flag. Doesn't necessarily mean you should do it, and context matters, but I guess it depends on what you mean by "defend." Moral defense? Legal defense? What are you after here exactly?

Re: 2020 Presidential Polls

You can listen to polls, or you can listen to me - my track record in 2016 was 48 out of 50 states correct.

I stand by my prediction that no more than 4 states flip. And I STILL wouldn't rule out Minnesota flipping the other way. It'll be single digits.

Re: 2020 Presidential Polls

I was just showing one viable road to 269.

The thing is, given the number of elector defections last year, something closer to 280 is probably what will be needed to outright win this year, so there's quite a few combinations of final outcomes that could cause trouble.

Re: Why isn't the left pro-choice on masks?

I'm sorry, but the media's absolute obsession with masks is bizarre. Of all the different aspects to the virus and its spread and the one idea that may slow down spread by 2% per day is the one that gets all the attention. Like this study, published just 3 days ago by the Henry Ford Health System: h...

Re: Random political predictions for 2020

Expect Trump to sue 10+ states to drag out the mail in results. He's going to make this a shitshow like his does everything else. If he continues to campaign with his overtly White Supremacist rhetoric, I can see some Republicans just not voting at all. Just like how Screen Glare is incapable of re...

Re: Why isn't the left pro-choice on masks?

I'm going to be very clear about my position on masks. It isn't a political one. I choose not to wear one because (a) they're very uncomfortable, and (b) that when the dust settles and the history books are written, the masks won't have saved many lives at all. It has nothing to do with politics for...

Re: Why isn't the left pro-choice on masks?

Much of Western Europe for starters. But also Japan, South Korea and apparently Rawanda. Apparently Rawanda did what we could not and beat the virus back well enough to be allowed travel to the EU... we remained banned. Our handling of this has been dead last among developed western nations. That’s...

Re: Why isn't the left pro-choice on masks?

Given that other countries had more discipline, did the same things we did and are opening up now without this sort of resurgence I don’t think that’s the case. Which countries are you referring to here? One side is much more invested in trying to protect its citizens than the other. ...in vain. Th...

Re: From my Facebook feed today...

When COVID-19 comes to your house, you will not care when the bars or the gyms will reopen. You will not care how your stock portfolio is doing. You will not think it’s a hoax. You won’t have time for that nonsense because you’ll be watching and worrying for yourself and every loved one in your hou...

Re: Random political predictions for 2020

I'm not hedging my bets....I've said in here for quite some time now that I'm not nearly as confident about Turmp's chances in 2020 as I was in 2016 - I don't think I've ever given him better than 55-45 odds. Today I would say it is a literal coin flip, undoubtedly being Biden's to lose at this prec...

Re: Why isn't the left pro-choice on masks?

Anybody who believes that the left's LITERAL OBSESSION over mask-wearing and shaming those who don't is about "saving lives" is an idiot. Politicians and the media have a very different agenda here, and individual people who believe it is going to magically slow down the spread are simply ignorant. ...

Re: Random political predictions for 2020

I don't think it will be mandatory, with the exception possibly being for young children in order to go to a public school. Also possibly certain industries might require it for their workers such as healthcare....but as far as a broad-brush government mandate, I highly doubt it.

Random political predictions for 2020

Normally I would be ready to make some predictions for November in a Presidential election year, but this has been such a screwed up year that I really don't have many gut feelings on what is going to happen. About the only prediction I'm ready to make right now is that Trump's polling numbers, both...
