Re: Trumpwatch 2.0

I debated with myself whether to post this or not, but ultimately decided I'm going to, albeit in a much shorter response than what I had originally typed up. I think about all I'm going to say is that my reason for stepping away from here is that of my own mental health; that some of the insults ...

Re: Trumpwatch 2.0

Go back to your hole dirt boy. Saw this while browsing the forum not logged in (hence, seeing blocked user posts). It takes a lot to genuinely offend me, but this one hurts. I'm really upset reading this. So I'm done here. Permanently. The fact this kind of derogatory comment can keep being ...

Re: First significant winter storm of the year appears on tap for SE Michigan

Just woke up to a half a foot of snow on the ground that wasn't predicted so much as a flake when I went to sleep last night. That is on top of what is coming later. Radar loop says it all - a super narrow lake effect band came in off of Lake Huron, couldn't have been but a 10-mile wide area that ...

Re: Detroit Pistons 2024-25

DraftKings is still paying 1,000 to 1 odds on the Pistons winning the title, so I decided to buy a $12 lottery ticket that would pay out $12,000 if Detroit wins it all.

Excuse me. WHAT? You can accuse me of a lot of things. Massive copy-and-paste posts isn't one of them. And whenever I do quote something, I source it. Every single time. Unlike a lot of other posters in here.

Re: Trumpwatch 2.0

Basically all of them are gone not just him… they likely know it’s hard to defend this and they don’t want to bother trying. Speaking as one of "them," I would suggest you have no idea why they up and left. Even in an anonymous setting such as an online forum, one person can only take so much verba ...

Re: First significant winter storm of the year appears on tap for SE Michigan

The higher end of 3-6 inches looks about right. Looks like most of the thumb and south of a diagonal line will get 4 or 5 inches.

Up here in northeast Michigan, though, the last snowstorm of a few days ago brought us about 11 inches when forecasts were for 3-5, even the morning of.

I'm pretty sure we have enough pennies in circulation that it'll be many years before people begin to notice that there are fewer of them.

Re: SB Predictions

I really have no feel either way for how this one is going to go. I think it'll be a close game, but I have no clue, nor do I really care, who wins. All I am rooting for is Barkley to be held in check since I was too cheap to pay for him on my Draftkings fantasy team.

Republicans don't have 60 in the Senate. Unless you're suggesting Republicans should nuke the filibuster.

Re: Trumpwatch 2.0

I'm starting to think bmw stands for "Biden Memories Writer". Ignore precedent at your own peril. That's why the executive branch gets more powerful with each administration. Except Biden put that concept on steroids when it comes to executive orders. As did our wonderful governor in the state of ...

Any chance you could increase the size of our private message inbox a bit?

I'm now at 49 out of 50. That's a few per year for as long as I've been here.

No problem if I have to just go back and delete the old ones, but any chance you could bump that up to 75 or 100?

Re: Trumpwatch 2.0

As to all of those on the left criticizing and complaining about all of Trump's executive orders - your President last time around started the precedent. Trump only signed 1 executive order on his first day in 2017. That was in-line with past presidents, Obama having signed two, George W none, and ...

Re: Trumpwatch 2.0

And a majority of American's that voted for him and what he said he would do if elected. Wouldn't the organized opposition be a threat to our democracy by trying to interfere with the results of an election? Except we don't live in a democracy. We live in a republic. And in a republic, the minority ...
