Pop songs are getting WAY shorter

I pretty much quit paying attention to current music in the past few years, but out of curiosity today I took a look at the Top 40 chart, and as looked songs up on youtube - one thing jumped out at me right away - the short length of a lot of the songs. Here's just the Top 10: 1 - Tate McRae - Greed...

Draymond Green in trouble again

Given his history, he should be suspended for at least 10-15 games for this.

Re: Stock Market White Knuckle Ride

My investment in TQQQ is up about $7400 year-to-date. That recoups the amount it lost and then some the year before. Nice to finally be back in the green.

Re: Detroit Lions 2023

Does that leave Green Bay with any conceivable (however thin) path to the division, or did that bed-shit just cook them on that score? Packers' only path to a division title is them winning out and Detroit losing out. All other scenarios lead to either Minnesota or Detroit winning the division. Els...

Re: Detroit Lions 2023

And....the lowly Giants just did the Lions a favor. And in a thoroughly entertaining fashion.

And I was going to respond to Round Six's highly condescending post pretty much calling us a bunch of socially awkward losers, but I see he has since deleted it.

Re: 2024 Presidential Primary Polling Thread

Inflation is not at above average levels in the context of the last 50 years... Now there's some cherry-picking right there. Yes, the current inflation rate is BARELY below the 50-year average. But it is considerably above the 30-year average of 2.4%, and that 2.4% number was slightly under 2% prio...

Yet the Lions are favored by 4 to 5 points in that upcoming game.

Re: 2024 Presidential Primary Polling Thread

Do you remember what we said about a week being a lifetime in politics? I agree with this. For example, remember those Chinese spy balloons that we didn't shoot down? Biden took a lot of heat for that. Will that particular story matter on election day? Not one bit. But here's the thing - the electi...

The better question - when will Republicans throw the wannabe dictator to the curb?
Politically speaking, why would you throw someone to the curb who leads the incumbent in a state like Michigan in a CNN poll by 10 points?

Re: 2024 Presidential Primary Polling Thread

A new CNN poll has Trump +10 over Biden in Michigan, 50-40. Biden is a sinking ship. The million dollar question is, how many more polls like this will it take before the Super Delegates decide to throw Biden to the curb? I've also seen speculation out there that Biden might pardon Hunter and announ...

Re: Detroit Lions 2023

Beating Denver virtually locks a playoff berth (a ridiculous number of things would have to go wrong among like 5 different teams for Detroit to miss the playoffs if they win that game as they would still be at 99% to get in even if they lost their last 3 games). So the game is important for that re...

Re: Detroit Lions 2023

Thanks. So what that all means is if Detroit ties with either or both of those two teams, then Detroit loses the NFC North. It would be classic SOL for Detroit to lose to Minnesota, finish tied with either Minnesota, Green Bay, or both, lose the division crown, and then lose its wild card game. Gre...

Re: CRT and Plasma vs LCD tv's/monitors

I assume you specifically mean OLED?

I haven't seen an OLED in-person, but on paper they do look like a large improvement over regular LED.
