Re: NFL WC weekend

Next week's game already scheduled - 3 PM Sunday, at home vs TB or Philly, on NBC (again).

Just from a TV network perspective, local CBS and Fox affiliates can't be pleased that NBC gets both games.

Re: NFL WC weekend

The difference in the game literally ended up being Detroit's defense was marginally better in the red zone than was the Rams'.

The decision of the game (which I was torn on at the time) was Detroit accepting the late holding penalty instead of forcing the 52-yard field goal attempt.

Re: NFL WC weekend

With another home game on the line next week, the stakes for the Lions are now even higher tonight.

Feds to ban funny state-owned road signs

Among those that will be disappearing are messages such as "Use Yah Blinkah" in Massachusetts; "Visiting in-laws? Slow down, get there late," from Ohio; "Don't drive Star Spangled Hammered," from Pennsylvania; "Hocus pocus, drive with focus" from New Jersey; and "Hands on the wheel, not your meal" ...

Re: NFL WC weekend

So I guess Lions fans should be Packers fans, because as long as the Lions and Packers keep winning, the Lions keep getting home games. I agree. I'd rather face Green Bay at home than Dallas on the road, albeit not by a big margin. If Green Bay wins, Detroit would get the winner of the TB/Phi game ...

If you're able to pull your brain out of the oxygen starved place it normally resides... This insult coming from somebody who quite literally starves his brain for oxygen. https://www.narconon.org/blog/marijuana-users-suffer-lower-blood-flow-to-the-brain-than-non-users.html A group of researchers o...

Re: Guaranteed Income Starts in Flint

I've asked you a simple question that you continue to refuse to answer. Below what income level do you define poverty? You have a history of playing fast and loose with definitions and numbers, and this thread is no exception. So I'm simply trying to pin you down on exactly what you're claiming here.

Re: Guaranteed Income Starts in Flint

Wow do you ever love to play with numbers to fit your narrative. By the definition you've set forth here -ie, 0.01% being effectively 0 percent, the number of people who freeze to death in the US every year is effectively 0. Setting that aside, even though you didn't directly answer my question, it ...

Re: Guaranteed Income Starts in Flint

As far as ending Poverty, you clearly haven't found faith yet. I'm not suggesting that helping those in need is not a worthy goal. What I'm saying is that "ending" poverty is an unrealistic one. Goals aren't achieved when you don't target the ultimate finish line. There are several countries that h...

Re: Federal Scientists Recommend Easing Restrictions on Marijuana

If it didn't happen, why are there convicted felons in prison for trying to take down democracy? Nobody was convicted of "trying to take down democracy" - there's not even any such language in the federal code. The most serious crime anybody related to Jan 6th has been convicted of is "seditious co...

Re: Federal Scientists Recommend Easing Restrictions on Marijuana

You know what worries me? Not some fictional threat to Democracy, but the actual physical threat of an insurrection by domestic terrorists. See, that really happened . :rollin :lol :rollin :barf TCT is right. There really was an insurrection by domestic terrorists. It lasted for 3 weeks. 6 city blo...

Re: Winter Storm 2024

When I was in school in the 1990s, we routinely went to school when temperatures were sub-zero and wind chills I'm sure even well below that. I remember the local school rule being something like for outdoor recess, we kids WERE FORCED to go outside at recess time if the actual air temperature was a...

Is bmw even Catholic? Outside of the Catholic church very few Christians care what the pope says.
I was raised Catholic, but today I consider myself a non-denominational Christian. Organized religion, generally speaking, is far too ritualistic for me.
