Re: Giving up on God

If things are going well, some begin to ignore God. It isn't until things get bad that they return to God knowing that they need him in their lives. It reminds me of a story I once read about the notorious iconoclast, WC Fields. Someone visiting him while he was in the hospital, on his death bead, ...

Re: Giving up on God

If things are going well, some begin to ignore God. It isn't until things get bad that they return to God knowing that they need him in their lives. Science has also attempt to replace God, even thought there is little settled science on deeper matters. To say politics ruined religion is a stretch. ...

Re: Giving up on God

The church that you SAID you belong to on this board is considered evangelical - so I'm not sure why you would be attacking yourself. I disagree about your postulate. One lay person doesn't define one church, let alone an entire nation! To claim a group is hate filled just because their definition o...

Re: Ohio votes down corporate weed

The only thing this tells us is the voters didn't like this idea...

Anything more is spin.

Re: $20 trillion dollar man...

Where to begin? EEO reports - FCC requires theses reports if you have 5 or more full-time employees. The report itself is not terrible (1.5 Hours) but many small businesses don't want mess with the strict recruitment procedures, publication and record keeping, this could be hundreds of hours. The re...

Re: $20 trillion dollar man...

Red tape keeps the "peasants" in the "peasant" class. Large corporations have the lawyers, lobbyists and the money to overcome it.

Re: $20 trillion dollar man...

I don't hate government - I just see the constant red tape that hurts the poor and keeps them captive, or those willing to work but can't catch a break because of ridiculous regulations.

Re: $20 trillion dollar man...

You need to be honest with yourself - you love government and everything government (or at least it seems that way to me). I do not understand why you do... Any reasonable person would say 65 hrs is BS for a small business. What if your 1040 took 65 hours to fill out? Would that be reasonable for si...

That the public headlines of what it was supposed to do (and you bought the FCC's BS), but it also prevents port specific throttling by an ISP. Bright Line Rules: No Blocking: broadband providers may not block access to legal content, applications, services, or non-harmful devices. No Throttling: br...

Re: $20 trillion dollar man...

You ignore what I said. We don't have a free market system - we have a hodge-podge. Often these work together to create bubbles and other irregularities. These Clinton-era government policies caught with themselves. For the record, as long as there is FDIC insurance banks will need to be regulated. ...

Re: $20 trillion dollar man...

Like I said: Bush and Obama sold us down the river. Clinton created bubbles with his forced lending policies and with easy government-backed money. My concern is the ever increasing federal bureaucracy, and millions of agency rules. Cutting regulations for small business. And cutting spending across...
