Re: Russian Plane Crashes

Turkeytop wrote:I thought I recalled hearing on the day of the crash the pilot had radioed in that he was having some kind of problem before contact was lost. Did anyone else hear that?
I think that was a incorrect report. Maybe it was another pilot?

Re: Russian Plane Crashes

I have corrected the title to reflect the fact that the exact cause is unknown. However, Russian involvement in Syria seems an Occam's Razor motive for anything from sabotage to shooting it down. But Russia won't wring its hands and blame itself for Terrorism. There's a new Sheriff on the World Pol...

Re: Keystone XL Rejected

They knew it wasn't going to happen until a new president comes in.

The problem with this it shouldn't really matter who is president - but government doesn't operate under rule of law anymore.

The spoils system now extends to permits.

Re: Keystone XL Rejected

Buffett's BNSF is spending a lot of money lobbying...this and other areas. Last week, under pressure from companies including Buffett's BNSF Railway Co, which has spent more money lobbying Congress this year than any other railroad, U.S. legislators passed, and President Obama signed, a law that del...

Clinton calls 4 exxon probe aft cutting off foundation funds

http://freebeacon.com/politics/clinton-calls-for-exxon-probe-after-company-cuts-off-foundation-funding/ What type of BS is this? Some might even call it extortion by the Clinton's. Global warming from oil emissions is only a unsettled theory at this point, so you can't go after one's opinions. This ...

Re: Drugs Kill More Than Guns, Cars

I never said anything about endorsing it. This reminds me why government programs are often ineffective because they become PC. Say one word about God and the baby is thrown out with the bath water - even if the program is proven effective. Even the legislatures still say opening prayers - that is n...

Re: Drugs Kill More Than Guns, Cars

I have no issue with rehab, but government needs to allow all forms of rehab, and not ban ones that may use spiritual methods, if proven effective.

Making distribution legal will only increase use, not decrease it.

Re: Giving up on God

If things are going well, some begin to ignore God. It isn't until things get bad that they return to God knowing that they need him in their lives. Science has also attempt to replace God, even thought there is little settled science on deeper matters. To say politics ruined religion is a stretch....
