Re: 94.5 The Q - new format is Adult Album Alternative

I'm more of an Alt rock guy, modern rock guy, but I love this station. If anything, I'd maybe like more dry segs between songs and less jock talk between.

Re: 94.5 The Q - new format is Adult Album Alternative

Also of note, a stopset around 2:30 this afternoon was completely empty. Not good. The station was supposed to be running commercials but evidently had none to run.
Also happening on weekends, almost every break. No complaints here. haha.

Why is Cumulus N/A MIA?
Probably because of all of the format changes in the Winter. Too many stations moved within their group to give an accurate depiction of what matters.

Re: The Ticket West Michigan

When we were building a new plant for 99.9, we were told feedline for the tx was in HIGH demand due to the tv repack. I think everything right now is either difficult to get or backordered.

Zack, if they really wanted to recognize heritage, they would bring back Mandatory Metallica, the Tool Rule, Ticket Window Wednesday, and the hard rock format many of us loved!
I suggest you visit and listen to www.wjjo.com often and forget about this fantasy of yours. lol!

Re: 94.5 The Q - new format is Adult Album Alternative

Driving back from GR this morning to St. Joe and heard, spoken quite slowly and effectively, 'W-K-L-Q ... Holland Grand Rapids' at the top of the hour. It was like a twilight zone episode but fun to hear again. Bravo on recognizing heritage.

Yes. I work at the competitor down the street.
Is WSJM still on "Dump Island" in the middle of the St. Joe channel?
No, the building moved to Benton Township in the mid-80s. The area is now a marina/pier.

Re: New AAA in Benton Harbor

I like the name; good luck! I must ask - wouldn't urban or urban AC have been a better choice given signal limitations? If we were a rated market area, perhaps. There are a few LPFM non-profit stations in the area that are doing variations of Urban and Urban AC well enough already that I don't thin...

Re: 94.5 The Q - new format is Adult Album Alternative

In terms of the question "which stations do 94.5's intended listeners currently listen to?", my guess would be that 104.1 WVGR is at the very top of the list. WLHT & WSNX are probably #2 and #3 - albeit considerably behind WVGR. I consider myself a perfect target for this station. I know 90% of the...

Christmas Music Observations

Spent some time with family this weekend in Grand Rapids. Had the opportunity to cume both Star 105.7 and The River. I gotta say, The River is better presented, better mix of traditional favorites with newer artist takes, and less spots. Star played two different versions of the same song title (Hap...
