Re: Are there ratings available for 910 AM - Detroit?

Per Mr. Adell, I am a subscriber to Nielsen, 910AM has a weekly Cume of 20,000 to 23,000 with TSL of 2 hours. Justin has a 1.25 share of persons 6+ (I don’t know of any 6 year olds listening but that’s what they use). With the old format I had 800 monthly subs.

Re: Is WXYZ Selling?

Mr. Adell said the Byron Allen deal fell through because he couldn’t get the financing, so Plan “B” is to sell the buildings in Detroit and Phoenix and do a sale - leaseback. Eventually they will do a sale - leaseback of their towers too.

Is WXYZ Selling?

Mr. Adell believes that they are selling, likely to Hearst, Tegna or ABC, but I would bet on Hearst. I own The Word Network right next door. They haven’t done anything like this in 34 years, in the past large tree branches would fall down and they would just leave them. Now they’re cutting down tre ...

Re: WADL Deal Pulled

WADL will be sold to a Godster broadcaster in my opinion Kevin Adell likes to screw things up what was Kevin & his dad thinking not becoming CBS with their outrageous demands in 94. And who will buy the $75Million I can't see anyone buying it for that much. More likely that WDIV will make DT2 The ...

Re: Nexstar's CWNetwork looking for a new detroit home as Scripps pulls affiliation from its stations

Rumor has it that Scripps is going to move to Sports on WMYD, they think the Diamond Sport Network will only last another 6 months or so before imploding and then all local Sports will need to move over to “Over The Air” free broadcasting like it was in the early to mid-1990s before the advent of ESP ...

Re: Nexstar's CWNetwork looking for a new detroit home as Scripps pulls affiliation from its stations

Déjà Vu, here we go again! This time the CW Network will be kicked off of WMYD TV-20 on September 1, 2024. The first time around they were kicked off of WKBD TV-50 on September 1, 2023, then they were kicked off of WADL TV-38 in October 2023, and now WMYD. [https://thedesk.net/news/scripps-dropping-c ...

Re: WADL to be sold to Nexstar (through Mission Broadcasting)

At the suggestion of the Chairwoman Nexstar and Adell signed a PA extension for another 90 days. Shortly after that was signed the FCC dropped the hammer on Nexstar. Now both parties need to wait and see if the FCC will approve the deal or not, rumor has it they will not approve it. After that ...
