Re: Truth IPO: Trump's next grift

I've even heard some Trump supporters in the media refer to this as a "meme" stock. The million dollar question (or rather billion dollar question) is whether it can hold this price for 6 months. I seriously doubt it. Nevertheless, Trump will ultimately cash out a substantial amount of money at som...

Re: 2024 Presidential Primary Polling Thread

Is the Alabama election a total anomaly? How can Democrats do so well in in a +5 R district and win by 25 points and be behind in Georgia? I don’t think it’s an anomaly at all… since Roe was overturned they have consistently done better than expected and shocked people over and over winning where t...

Re: This is the guy BMW wants to put back in the WH

I've said in here before that in recent years that Fox News has really gone downhill. I agree with RT that it has become a Republican echo chamber and that the few liberals on the network are token liberals. But that's not the point. The point is that it is not the role or job of an on-air personal...

Re: Macomb County Scanner: WDIV Workers Fight

FTV Live is reporting the decommissioned van was sold to a WDIV employee and that said employee was involved in a domestic dispute. I have no idea if it's anyone involved with the news operation. https://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/2024/3/26/this-should-be-a-lesson-for-every-station That’s a bizarre ...

Re: Another leaving WXYZ

I would've loved to have seen a Bill Bonds vs. Coleman Young boxing match! Bonds went away for a 6 week vacation immediately after that newscast. He had one more fit within a year later and he was gone for good. Google the Bonds "Editorial" some time. https://i.ibb.co/54wVcxF/Screenshot-20240327-16...

Re: Baltimore bridge collapses

Thanks for the anchor info. Makes sense. Question : when Biden promises the bridge will be rebuilt with federal money, I assume our effective federal govt firstly, or subsequently , will go after the shipping company who I assume would have insurance to cover the costs. Don’t stick the federal taxp...

Re: Democrats Overperform In An Election Again

People that think Trump had any impact on the pre-covid economy and are justifying a vote for him this time on that basis already voted for him twice. He is shrinking, not growing his voter base. The last three GOP presidents (both Bushes and Trump) have left the economy trashed. Clinton, Obama and...

Re: This is the guy BMW wants to put back in the WH

The people over at Fox News are also paid big bucks to give strong political opinions. Yet, I can think of no instance where any of them ever once used their airtime to criticize the top brass for firing people like Tucker Carlson, Bill O'Reilly, or Eric Bolling, nor do I recall them ever criticizi...

Maybe they should be.
At that volume you probably wouldn’t be able to easily tell if they simply refuel long before they run out. I’m also not sure it’s that accessible that you can even smell it.

Re: This is the guy BMW wants to put back in the WH

She got the boot because they unwisely wanted “both sides represented” and thought the RNC chair would have great insight. This was a TV move and not a news move as the folks running it are not news people. They ignored the election denial stuff in the interest of having a top flight Republican whe...

Democrats Overperform In An Election Again

Must be a conspiracy… In all seriousness… a special election to replace a Republican forced to resign over charges related to him using a closet as his address so he could run in that State House district in Alabama netted a massive win for the Democrat in a swing district in who ran on preserving I...
