Sadly, he lost his battle earlier tonight. He was only 73. What a shame.

Re: FUCK YOU, Entercom. (Chuck Edwards and Cadillac Jack both fired from WYCD.)

It's clear to me that the wet dream of most major AM/FM execs is to nationalize the programming on at least 80 percent of the stations across the country, K-Love style. One CHR format on dozens of stations, maybe two country formats, a couple urban/hip-hop formats, one classic rock format, one news...

Re: FUCK YOU, Entercom. (Chuck Edwards and Cadillac Jack both fired from WYCD.)

What's astounding - as is always the case when corporations further twist the knife into a once-great medium - is the "talent" that manages to survive any given bloodbath. I've been reading the lists and shaking my head at how "Talent A" was let go, yet the much-less talented "Talent B" is still em...

They are political rallies, not news conferences.
That's definitely true for sure especially with Trump, I mean, why else would he have the MyPillow guy, Mike Lindell, appear at his conferences?

Thoughts on daily news conferences

What are your thoughts on all these daily news conferences? I personally think many of them are important, but I'm finally getting tired of them every single day. Today's conference in Ohio pretty much talked only about wearing masks when you need to go out, and then turned into a discussion about t...

Re: "Stacks 92.1"

I was in Lansing 2 weeks ago, and they were still using the Fuel 92.1 branding and format, so it could have happened just a few days ago.

Re: Covid 19 Media Layoffs Begin - Entercom

One of the other layoffs is longtime WYCD personality Chuck Edwards. Gone after 20 years at the station. WYCD midday host "Cadillac Jack" is also out, plus a creative services director as well. A personality in Cleveland who used to be part of Mojo in the Morning is another casualty.

Re: Screaming Scott blown out at the RIF.

That's a shame. Screamin' Scott is a legend and one of the best rock jocks in Detroit. So many years at the Riff and this is how Beasley treats him. I hope he lands somewhere else on the dial soon.

Re: From All Access this morning (WPFX has been sold)...

Yeah, WRQN's extremely stale, same songs every single day, with almost no "Oh wow"- type songs, except in the all-'70's and all-80's hour. I want a station that's similar to what Jeff Lamb is doing right now, a little bit of everything from the '60s, '70s, '80s, and '90s. A station that plays thous...

Best portable radio for picking up the most stations?

I have a Sangean-ATS 405 that I use for traveling. It's not a bad radio, but I have problems with the radio resetting for no reason sometimes. I was wondering, what portable radio picks up the most stations and is great for DXing?

Re: WVKS (92-5 Kiss FM) Music Choice?

I'm not sure if bringing back Tower 98 is the right move. The only time it ever got good ratings in Toledo is when Johny D did mornings there 15 years ago. 1055 was never successful as a CHR either.

Amy Davis back on the air, this time at 107.7 the Wolf.

107.7 the Wolf announced on their Facebook page that they have hired former K100 midday personality Amy Davis to do middays. She was at K100 for nearly 15 years, until being fired in December.

Classic Hits 419

I don't think anyone's talked about this yet, But Jeff Lamb has an amazing internet station called "Classic Hits 419". The station plays a wide variety of hits from the '60s,'70s, '80s '90s, and the 2000s. The playlist has a total of 2500 songs, and quite a few are songs you don't hear every day on ...
