Re: Bill Stewart dies

What's Big Jim up to? He is a great guy, worked with him for a few years when we were both part time at Star 105. He used to have a H*** card catalogue of artist info he'd lug into the studio every weekend. He used to tell me about how he and his friends would watch Mojo Man do his show through the...

Jim Brady Felton?
No, not the drunk that used to keep hooch in his trunk. What was in the slurry cup, was not slurpy.

Re: 105.5fm Toledo Ohio

Yep, the HD2 on 105.5 and 94.5 both sound like crud, and the "zone" audio had no audio processing whatsoever that I can tell. It's the equivalent of connecting the headphone jack of a cassette player directly into the HD2 input, and not lound enough at that. Why doesn't Cumulus ever spend $25 on a ...

Re: Predictions for 2022

Back when WTVG was ABC O&O and had the Disney bucks, I would have bet them on ATSC 3.0 as they were first with HD news back then, but now all the TV stations are on the cheap, and since WGTE-FM never even bothered to jump onto the HD-radio (HD-2 could have been classical music or NPR news all damn ...

Re: Warner and CBS possibly selling the CW

I'm not sure that the 2 will split, as the "62" station was a failing station (as WGPR-TV), when purchased and the both would still be owned by Viacom/CBS.

Re: 93.5 Howell

Yep. About 7 or 8 miles from my house. LOCAL ownership. I went through there a couple of years ago when a friend of mine was PT there. It's nice to have around here. I remember them years ago, as in the 90's. I had a partner in Howell and would visit. He was about 3 blocks behind the courthouse, ab...

Re: Real AC station

Does anyone think about corporate playlists and how the lists get made? Personal experience says that if corporate does not want music in the automation, it does not go there. A Toiletto, Ohio former PD, now 4th place morning show host was demoted partially for adding untested and unapproved music. ...

Re: 105.5fm Toledo Ohio

Sure is a good thing they changed the name from "Channel 105.5" to "Q105." (Or was there a Q105.5 period in between?) Worked like a charm! :lol No, there was no "Q" prior to "Channel." That would have confused Anita and Tanya's program logs. Shocked they made it "Q." They always referred to 93.5 as...

Re: 105.5fm Toledo Ohio

Yeah because we need to put the Ticket on a fourth signal and we desperately miss Dave Ramsey's show. And the clean sound would amaze! All HD2's+ sound like dog scrap! HD sounds different, but not clean at all. No wonder HD radio overtook Spotify and Pandora and Cumuless' Rdio! Still saying HD was ...

Re: 105.5fm Toledo Ohio

100.7 is for the talk format. It will change again near major election time. That's been the strategy.

By the way, how did you change your name? You were "Star105-Sucks" and now "deleted user......"

Re: Predictions for 2022

The Zone is eliminated and 94.5 HD-2 is shut down That also requires 100.7 to be shut down, unless the sports is on another HD signal. Either way, HD is dead/passe. It was a waste of airtime and money. Good riddance. Not like the feeds in Toiletto were ever that good or clean. It also eleviates the...

Re: Predictions for 2022

Add one more:

12- K100 mornings gets chopped for low demo ratings and overall ratings on multiple occasions. Those with access to the internal numbers see what I mean. Cliff and Lyn aren't "cutting the ketchup," much less the mustard. Cumulus replaces them with a sat show.

Re: NextGen and the "volume problem"?

Well, TV's nowadays should have volume leveling for the disabled. All of my flat screens had this, even before the HD switch. Plus, the CALM act should cover something like this. My theory- Never rush into anything. With working with Linux's Ubuntu, one should never rush to get the "x.4" versions, r...
