Re: Bill Michaels?

Too bad, nobody could cue up Pour Some Sugar On Me 70000 times, sound like they're drooling reading ads for any restaurant, and end every sentence with either "man" or "baby" the way Bill could.

Re: Goodbye Kristi Leigh

Jeff and Sashem are the absolute worst. Do they ever go 2 minutes without giggling at something? Also, Jeff's hairpiece fools nobody.

I was no fan of Kristi except as eye candy but her leaving speaks volumes. Even Toledo lifers don't want to work in Toledo media anymore.

One of the few good things about Toledo radio left, let's enjoy the big guy while we can.

I think you're literally right, 2 producers. Should be funny to see what happens.

Boy, I hope Aimee doesn't have to go on food stamps. That could bankrupt Lucas County.

Re: Windsor ratings are out; 89X is slipping again

I wonder if 89X is suffering due to all the people curious about WLLZ and giving them a listen for a bit. Once the novelty wears off, things might return to normal. Could certainly be part of the reason. I think the bigger reasons are the fact WRIF is kicking their ass and 89X's overall sound is bo...

Re: Fort Wayne radio market ratings from Eastlan

WOWO is still that strong while other legacy news-talk AMs like WLS, WABC and to a lesser extent WJR have fallen by the wayside. I always enjoy listening to the Bear when passing through that area between Toledo and Chicago. A much better listen than the rock stations in the latter two cities are fo...

Re: Sean Compton fires WGN morning host Steve Cochran; hires Bob Sirott

Stupid. Cochran was doing well and Sirott is a has-been. Just when SOME of the damage Pig Virus did 10+ years ago was finally undone upper management egos are sinking WGN again.

Re: WNWO last night during SNL.

LOL I just looked at the FB posts and the station is trying to blame NBC for it. Get real. Most likely Sinclair doesn't approve of Lizzo.

Re: WNWO last night during SNL.

Because to Sinclair, Toledo IS a smaller market. WNDU in South Bend has higher priority, that's why they made Kimberly Newman move there even though she'd been doing weather in Toledo for almost 10 years and was one of the few remaining familiar local faces they had.

Re: Another horrendous book for Q105

There's no way 106.5 would give Norm a show. It's clearly being run as a total bare bones operation until whenever it is sold. CWA has their (decent) local show in mornings already, then runs Patrick, Eisen and Cowherd the rest of the day. Popular national shows that they wouldn't be allowed to dump...

Re: 2020 predictions for Toledo radio/TV.

Honestly Toledo radio and TV is so awash in mediocrity and boredom, outsourced and downsized to the bone that who really cares enough to make predictions anymore? WOHO did hit on a good point regarding WTOL's news. How the mighty have fallen. Kristi is an airhead who couldn't even make lead anchor i...

Re: Another horrendous book for Q105

When did Franz get 86'd? I'm at work during the drive home, so I have not had time to notice. I remember his stint at WSPD around 2004. I didn't know Frantz was gone until it got brought up on a Twitter thread involving the local morning host on 1230 yesterday. Apparently at the end of October. I a...

Re: Another horrendous book for Q105

That awful fake local sports show with Bob Frantz got dropped from 106.5, in favor of running ESPN Radio 23 hours a day weekdays unless the Buckeyes play, and the ratings actually went up. That's funny.
