XKR's signal still pretty easily covers the populated parts of metro Toledo that matter in the ratings, though.

If they're genuinely trying to upgrade the broadcasts, bringing back Mario is the right move. That's a long time ago now, though. WIOT was still decent for a few years later when Grizzly was still there and playing metal at midnight. But then the bean counters, Andy Stuart, Brian Wilson, Andrew Z, etc. ruined both clusters and now Toledo radio makes North Korean state media look listenable.

it's possible they do that when this format tweak also fails to move the needle. Of course no one listens to the Ticket either except for Buckeyes and to a lesser extent Browns games anymore, but being an ESPN Radio clearinghouse damn near 24/7 now makes it cheap to run.
