Re: Bravo, Alabama Amazon workers!

A union might have some benefits, but also many disadvantages. All the companies I've worked for the disadvantages outweighed any possible benefits.

I wish her well and a quick recovery, but just how was she "courageous" in getting through this?

Re: Women still have an uphill battle

Men have not been keeping women down. Men have had to fight for everything they have, whether they're competing with other men or with women. Not true. Men are breaking women's sports records at a high rate. It's only a matter of time until all the women's records are held by men. Mediocre male ath...

He's the one who should be running for Detroit City Council, not that other guy (Elrick?).

Plastic Pelosi has supported open borders for years. Of course she approves of Biden’s “handling” of the border.
But she still lives in a fence-protected community, right? Why?

Re: What Planet Does She Live On?

Didn't I just hear a story on the news today where they were going to charge a mother with child endangerment for abandoning her kid in Oakland County somewhere?? How/why do we let those "international criminals" off the hook for doing the same thing to their kids at the border???

Re: 38.8 has a NEW Twist

Ah! Thought I was going to have to rescan to pick this up. But then I read "The network will feature hit shows such as Dance Moms, Tabatha Takes Over, Flipping Out, Clean House and more at launch. New shows, including Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, Top Chef: Masters and Dr. 90210 will be added to t...

"We" shouldn't have to train anybody. If YOU want a better job, how about YOU take the responsibility to improve your skills??

Don't wait till the last minute either!! That process can start (and should be taught) when you begin to talk and read!!!

Re: Global Tax Rate

LOL you can't "ban" robots - how do you propose doing so? How do you even go about defining a "robot"? ... If you did you'd lose 90%+ of the assembly line workers. :D I'd also say that even a state-wide minimum wage is pretty absurd. The cost of living in Malone, NY is probably much closer to outst...

Re: MLB pulls all-star game and draft out of Georgia over new voting laws

Perhaps they should have just moved it to TORONTO. They haven't hosted it in quite a while, have they? Wonder how much money Truist Park and all the associated business will lose in this, and how many folks there will be directly impacted? Not really going to hurt the state, and as many have pointed...

Re: MLB pulls all-star game and draft out of Georgia over new voting laws

While no one (well, not anyone who should be qualified to vote) should be prevented from voting, no one should also be encouraged to vote "just because they can". That serves no useful purpose to society if you have folks who are randomly voting or just voting based on popularity. Trying to figure ...

Re: White Evangelical Kristians not following orders

The best argument, for or against the vaccine will be whether it is effective and if it results in any unwanted side effects. From what people have told me so far, I don't think that possible side effects would make me not want to take the shot, but the effectiveness will take time to judge . Thus ...

Re: Global Tax Rate

You could say the same about state-vs-state tax rates. Didn't Granholm try to make that argument?

What if they do implement a "global tax rate"? Does each county retain all the proceeds, or are those proceeds pooled and then divvied up by some international agreement?
