Re: You Be the Judge: Condo Edition

It seems to me that because everything is spelled out in the rules and regs there should be no payback. Having said that it may be easier to just pay it off and keep that red flag from hurting the condo complex. But there's a slippery slope to the association just paying for it. Once it gets around...

Re: Iheartmedia moving?

Jay towers on fox2 this morning mention that his radio studio at Iheartmedia is moving to Eastern Market. Does that mean the whole building in Farmington Hills is moving to Eastern Market? Anyone got any further info about this? I thought I've read here on Buzzboard that Towers does his radio show ...

Re: You Be the Judge: Condo Edition

Reading all that, the owner of unit 2 does not need to be reimbursed. He or she has shown they know how to contact the association. Enough examples they should of known they were supposed to contact the association. And it appears the breaker only feeds one unit. So it's not a common area item.

Re: Open Carry People Are Idiots

I believe this. I'd need two hands to count the number of times I've intentionally got close enough to be able to grab a gun from some old fat fart open carrying. Got his gun hanging off his side like Wyatt Earp. And you can tell The Rotund One is paying absolutely no attention to his surroundings.

Re: Texas Freeze

This may start a flame fest against me. Am I wrong thinking what happened in Texas is something that no one expected to happen? I think it's unrealistic to expect the government and the power company down there to had been prepared for this. I suppose it's possible a freak tsunami or tidal wave coul...

Re: Biden Doesn't Want Loan Forgiveness For Elite Colleges

I've said basically the same thing in another thread. I worry about paying for anyone that wants it. We will be paying tuition for seat warmers who barely passed high school and have no chance of getting a college degree. I think it's Tennessee that provides free college IF you graduate high school ...

Sunday News Panels

I wasn't quite sure if this query should go here or the Political forum. As I watch the Sunday morning news programs, I find myself not interested in journalists opinions. I'd like to see the "Sunday Panel" of news people and retirees replaced by 4 currently elected officials. I don't care what some...

Re: You Be The Judge Once More

For the record, I've never worked in a steel mill. My background was in electronics. But while the other guys were upgrading their skills, I was off doing things for my Union. I was becoming something of a dinosaur in the plant. Finally the Union recruited me to work full time in a staff position. ...

Re: You Be The Judge Once More

If my job requires that I answer the telephone or deal with written documents, the fluency in English are essential elements of the job. But if my job is piling steel doors on to a skid, then what difference does it make? Before I retired, the secretary in our office was French Canadian. At the tim...

Re: You Be The Judge Once More

If fluency in English is a bona fide requirement of the job, the employer can insist on it. But they can't just use it a a barrier to certain ethnic groups to be hired. Like I said, I'm not sure how your laws and regulations are over there. But what I'm saying is true about over here. As long as an...

That too. I was thinking of your confusion around the structure of social classes. You're just too young and inexperienced. Well, I'm like Rate I suppose. I don't understand saying there's a difference between middle class and working class. I think it's fair to say "working class" isn't even a ter...

Re: You Be The Judge Once More

Something I should have mentioned in the original post. When an employee is hired they are given a copy of the collective agreement and a copy of a booklet of Plant rules. One of the rules therein says that fighting will not be allowed and will result in discharge. The rule book is a document issued...

There seems to be a common thread throughout this thread.
Y'all are a bunch of OLD farts.
Is Rate, Freak and myself the only three not on a Geritol IV?
