Nice to finally get numbers from WJQK. Whoever estimated it to be near a 2.0 share was right; a few books ago, that's a nearly 10 share between the two major Christian stations in town.

Imagine a locally owned station in GR. They could become a MONSTER. There is a local owned station in GR... not country, but local nonetheless. 91.3 WCSG! They do just about everything right. Personable, live and local content for twelve hours a day on weekdays, and all local talent 24/7... weather ...

I do wonder if part of the reason Star 105.7 didn't rise as much as years past is because Tommy & Brook are no longer there? It felt like the two were synonymous with each other for a while there. Part of the "legacy" of that station seems to be resetting with Theresa Lucas no longer there either.

WCSG can’t be overlooked... they consistently put in by far the most effort into their radio station than anyone else and it shows. In the age of declining radio quality, WCSG has stayed the course and it seems to be paying off quite well.

One more note... I found the 96.1 WAKX "Young Country" jingle package from 1994 on that same page, entitled "Country Wildfire."
