Hudson Tower (Building Under Construction) & Initial FM Collocation Analysis
The Hudson Tower, by any other name, but not to be confused with the Hudson Lookout Tower, an antenna farm area some 240 miles North, has been proposed to be 912 feet AGL to the roof near the corner of Woodward and Gratiot. No doubt that there will also be a ~100 foot communications tower or two on ...

Re: WBBL gone
To me, "the sticks" apply to Big Rapids and other environs 40-55 miles of GR that were served by 107.3's signal. Like today, when I am on my way to Ravenna and then, on to Big Rapids, I guess 590 is going to have to do as a resource for MSU-OSU listening. 1340 doesn't get me much past Cedar Springs...

Re: WBBL gone
I didn't know Craig Russell was part of the David Gleason School of Thought. It wont be 4. No one, not even them, would put a 45-dead format on that strong of a signal.

Re: Misheard Song Lyrics
From "El Paso" by Marty Robbins.
"Maybe tomorrow a pullet may find me,
Tonight nothings worse than this pain in my heart."
And hopefully, that chick will be more loyal than Felina.
Correct lyrics.

Perennial Critical Hours Pre Sunset Post Sunrise Log Changes Formats
WFNR 710, a 10000 Watt DA-D Blacksburg, VA station that blasts a Critical Hours signal into areas that used to be served by WOR before they changed patterns and rebuilt their array, has changed formats. It changed from Talk to 60s 70s Oldies. In addition to the recognizable format, the strong ~50 kW...

Re: Casey Kasem The 80’s
"Alexa, Play Cars 108" works. Pretty much have to, since the translator is suddenly and inexplicably very strong. I need a better antenna, though from my more recent RL.

Sue Cowsill on "I'm On Fire" by the Dwight Twilley Band. (Free-ee-ee-ee-ee I think, like and spaghettied.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AS_cgag9eQg Linda Ronstadt on "Lonely Boy" by Andrew Gold. Second verse. (We must attend to her needs, she's so much younger than you.) https://www.youtube.com/w...

Re: Can't They Just Let It Go?
I think it is odd that there has been no mention of who her ex is in any of this. Not that it's directly relevant. I had not heard about that, even though there was her recent HS reunion described in detail online, as I recall he was there from the account(ex is 1 yr. younger so not in the same clas...

Question For London Posters (Marcus and TT)
Do you know where the CHLO towers on 680 were located? From the description in the Historical account, describing its "Intense signal" covering Essex, Kent, and Lambton Counties, I can't see how they could send the signal West that much, at least not the major lobe, toward the KNBR 0.5 mV/m 50% skyw...

Re: Casey Kasem The 80’s
WTRX had it from the very late 1970s up until the late 1980s and the WDLZ Z-Rock fiasco as I recall. In 1975-1978, I remember listening on WVIC 730 before Sunset, CHYR-7 730 after Sunset, WVIC-FM 94.9 (20 kW/248 feet HAAT off Gunn Rd.) after Sunset (3 miles from WFBE, still 3.7 kW/115 feet HAAT at F...

Re: FM translator signal range in Metro Detroit
Some of the 1960s transistor projects for wireless FM BC mikes put out WAY over the Part 15 limit. 100 mW on FM is WAY OVER the limit. Nobody cared back then because not that many people listened to FM, the band was wide open in many areas, and unless you lived on top of one of the FCC monitoring st...

I thought you meant Alison. Didn't think she fit the Format though.

Could WWV Be Repurposed As A Private Combined News Outlet/Time Signal Like Radio Reloj?
Just wondering. Your thoughts on a joint Private/Public News/Time signal on WWV like Radio Reloj (but hopefully not Cuban propaganda programming).
