Re: NBC25/FOX66 down the tubes

HL101: For the umpteenth time, your rants on police belong in the political potpourri section, not here.

And I'll call your bluff. Meet me at 4 pm Monday at 107 North Franklin Street, Saginaw and you'll get your proof.

Investigative Journalism is dead

Whatever happened to investigative journalism in the Flint-Tri Cities market? ABC 12 used to have an I-Team. Jim Kiertzner went after corruption at city hall. Now, no one at any of the stations is doing any real investigations. They've replaced real journalism with Gray's Investigate TV national rep...

Mid-Michigan Now

It appears that Fox66 may be changing it's name. Go to midmichigannow.com and it brings you to the WSMH web page. Wonder when the new name will take place? Why would they go away from their network affiliation?

Re: Fred Heumann out

"Uncle Fred" mentored a lot of young journalists like Lisa Byington. He will be sorely missed. Doesn't make any sense why the new GM would force Fred out. They must want to replace him with younger (and cheaper) talent. However, they won't be able to replace Fred's knowledge and contacts. Bad move.

Re: NBC25/FOX66 down the tubes

Once again, HL101 distracts, distracts, distracts... as opposed to trying to answer for his own actions and words. You call the female Assistant News Director for WEYI/WSMH a "buffoon", a highly derogatory term. The Buzzboard administrator should ban you and all your other profiles so you cannot con...

Re: NBC25/FOX66 down the tubes

Hey HL101: once again, lay off the insults and try to stay on topic... on a post you created to bash your former station that you were fired from and are using to bash your former coworkers. And let’s set the record straight on insults. I criticized 26-66’s Assistant News Director for not living in ...

Re: NBC25/FOX66 down the tubes

HL101: you are one “special” child who apparently needed a lot of attention growing up... You ask why the station would pay veterans (talking again about Mr. Harris) that aren’t producing any additional revenue. Yet in another thread you criticize 25-66 for charging money to viewers to attend this y...

Re: NBC25/FOX66 down the tubes

HL101: you have worked for 5 and 25. And as I have said before, I worked with you (and are currently employed) at the Rusty Nickel. I have good friends who work at 12 and 25-66. For someone who alleges (falsely) about never having worked in the business, you spout a lot of crap that you profess to h...

Re: NBC25/FOX66 down the tubes

HL101: your blind hatred of your former employer misses the point. This is how Sinclair runs their stations. That’s why you see all veterans leave as soon as contracts are up. Let’s be clear. Sinclair doesn’t care about ratings. They care about profits. And Sinclair is making lots of money at 25-66....

Re: What happened to Jennifer Profitt?

Sinclair is running the station into the ground. Just look at everyone who has left 25/66: Jennifer Profitt, Veronica Meadows, Joel Feick, Jamie Kagol, Drew Moore, Kristen Aguirre, Tom Eschen... even for a small market like Flint the turnover is shocking.

Re: FOX66 Health Expo at Genesee Valley

Sounds like the laundry list of 25-66 employees got out while the gettin’s good. Add Chief Meteorologist Jamie Kagol who left. Others are plotting to leave as soon as their contracts are up. No one can stand putting up with the GM and his minions. Check out their staff page: https://nbc25news.com/st...

Re: Joel Feick’s gone

Speaking of someone who doesn’t know when to stop (I’m referring to you HL101)... Always loved running into Joel our on stories. A very nice man. A class act. Mel Serrow, Jim Kirtzner, Larry Elliott, Bill Harris, Joel Feick... all great beat reporters. Now all stations hire are “reporters” who fit u...

Re: Battle of the Christmas concerts

Once again, HL101 attacks his former employer. Shocking!

25’s Christmas concert was free for all these years. Now the station wants to profit off the holidays. Merry Christmas to Flint! Any way to make a buck

Re: News Fail

It starts at the top. When management doesn’t give two craps about journalism or their employees, you get the high school journalism that you see on 25-66 and the other low rated and even lower quality Sinclair stations across the country. It’s just about cutting costs, hiring inexperienced journali...
