Re: Local News Stations in Dayton To Cover Mass Shooting

I do not get it. Fox 2 Detroit and Local 4 have teams in Dayton to cover the news surrounding the mass shootings. My question is why? CNN, Fox News, NBC, ABC and other national news outlets are there (as well as, in El Paso) with their teams covering the events from a "Global" perspective. Also, yo...

Re: The Breeze

Lately, the Breeze's playlist could be described as "Black music for white folks."

That's not a complaint, because I enjoy listening to Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Anita Baker, etc.

Just wonder how long it will last as their playlist continues to "evolve."

Re: Moronic WDIV Personalities

Wow. Mara MacDonald, after the debate, was completely moronic. She did a straight report on the debate, but after the package, she started analyzing and started her next 3 sentences with, "I think." No one wants your analysis, Mara. Go buy another low rent hat. Then in another story, Jermont said, ...

What would they play?

I glanced through this list and didn't see much that I even remember.

But the teenagers of that decade are now hitting their 30s, with established careers and more income, so it's worth a try.

Amy Andrews      5 or 6 years ago I would have agreed. She was incredibly hot. It looks to me like shes done something to her face though and its not for the better. Still generally attractive and a great figure too. I agree. Sure looks like some man-made improvements ...

The writer of that bio seems to not be an English speaker but typed the article in his native language and then used Google translator.
That's probably true, but its ornate creativity probably came close to what the original writer intended.

Re: How much of the news show is scripted?

For those that worked in the business, just how much of the local broadcasts are scripted and how closely do the anchors have to follow the script? I know the actual stories are written and they mostly follow the teleprompter for those (which makes sense), but how much of the banter and transitiona...

Re: Unique Radio Experiences

In the summer of 1978, Ted Nugent was on one of the rock stations promoting a concert he was doing that evening at Cobo (which I saw). The radio host asked him how he felt about the Detroit riots from 11 years earlier. Nugent said he was living in another state at the time and said, "My first reacti...

Amy Andrews      Googled "Amy Andrews" and found this interesting site, in which she is described as having "an attractive and bold body figure and also has a seductive body measurement." :D http://wikinetworth.com/celebrities/fox-2-s-amy-andrews-wiki-birthday-bio-marr...

Re: Detroit’s Broadcasting Hotties 2019

In the up-and-coming department Ali Hoxie deserves a spot. Looks to be a lot taller when in the studio vs the field shots. I've been wondering why they've been using Ali as a traffic reporter. Is that the only way she can get in a full work week? Do they always need four people for chit chat and sy...

I didn't even notice she was absent, to be perfectly honest.

Jason Carr and especially Sandra Ali have been doing a great job.
I like Sandra Ali a lot better. Rhonda comes on too strong, especially in the morning, with that awful laugh.

Re: Unique Radio Experiences

The summer of 1969 the first time I listened to Underground Rock or Progressive Rock (as it was called back then) on WABX 99.5 and WKNR 100.3 this was totally the best radio to hear in my youth I was only 14 years old and thought I discovered a new world of different music. I know what you're sayin...

Re: Unique Radio Experiences

I was listening to WKAR-AM one afternoon before heading into work. I forgot to turn off the radio before I left my apartment. When I got home after midnight, WWL from New Orleans was blasting in. There was nothing unusual about that, but Louisiana was getting blasted by a hurricane. Regular program...

Unique Radio Experiences

- Thanksgiving Weekend, 1971. I was living in Indianapolis, and the local rock station WNAP spent the whole weekend playing what used to be called album cuts and are now called deep cuts. They called it the Free Mind Weekend. This was at the end of a year that produced the albums Who's Next, Sticky ...

Re: Ron Cameron In One Word:

Ron should’ve said to the caller “you’re just guessing, I don’t want guessing,” something he’s wont to say to Matt when the preternaturally timid Matt weighs in on some subject. But since the caller was serving Ron’s interest in his jeremiad against Jim Price he was given free rein. On Saturday, Ro...
