I I don't think we will hear much of the female artist that broke out during the 90's
Gee, I hope not. There was a period that all the female artists sounded like whiney bitches even if they weren't.
Not much different then then the emo bands they are already playing.

Re: The Breeze Drifts Away

My wife was a dedicated listener of the Breeze since it went on the air, and was enjoying the early switch to X-mas. She really doesn't pay attention to what frequency a station is, only what preset it was in her car. She thought that our son had changed her presets last week.

Re: Does anyone get WUDL signal?

According to that map I am just inside the blue line for coverage, but get barley a signal at all on RF35. So I wonder if WUDL goes down for a bit, would I be able to pull in another Canadian station?

Re: 98.7 Alternative!

I have heard REM get played, but I doubt much pre-grunge alternative will get played, the same for anything outside the grunge, britpop, pop-punk bands. I don't think we will hear much of the female artist that broke out during the 90's or any of the Industrial that actually broke on radio for a bit...

Re: Does anyone get WUDL signal?

I am not even sure I want WUDL to come in, it is just strange it is so close and so weak. I pull in 18 WDWO-CD, 15 WHPS-CD, and 28 WLPC-CD with enough clarity to lock them in. Both 19-1 TVO and 9.1 CBC come in nice and clear, the other Canadian stations don't even show a weak signal, 14, 16, 17, 30,...

Does anyone get WUDL signal?

With my antenna mounted 30 feet up and pointed directly south, from M-59 and Mound in Shelby Twp, I am picking up every station listed in RabbitEars for the Detroit Market, expect for WUDL on RF 35. I see a very small signal of 12-14 but no quality to lock the channel in. I could be getting co-chann...

Re: WUDT 23

No longer seeing WUDT on 23. on my old Channel Master DVR I see a very weak signal only 14, and no quality. My other TVs don't pick it up at all saying weak signal. Checked 8 and see no signal there at all, not even a small one on my Channel Master DVR.

Is WUDT finally off the air?

Re: 98.7 Alternative!

I agree. Demand for "new wave" era alternative is ultra niche, especially in a place like Michigan. WPLT in its short lived "Classic Alternative" phase focused on that era and was a spectacular ratings flop. Not even talking about the Synth and Post Punk that made up the "New Wave" or MTV Boom. But...

Re: 98.7 Alternative!

Alt now means grunge and beyond music. What was Alternative before grunge has become a lost format.

Re: 89X Memories

In the summer of 1990 I learned that Greg St James was moving to 88.7 to do a Alternative Rock show in the evenings, even the term Alternative was fairly new as the terms Modern Rock and New Wave and New Music were still in use. I tuned in the 1st night of "The Cutting Edge of Rock" at 8pm to listen...

Re: RIP 89X

My far left FM preset has been 88.7 from even before 89X or even the The Cutting Edge of Rock but now (much like 99.5) it will be removed only to added again if the station has another format change. RIP 88.7 your dead to me, just like 99.5.

Re: RIP 89X

I tuned into the very 1st night of the Cutting Edge of Rock, where Greg St James took over the frequency with a much format change., then as the block became bigger and bigger, just in time for the Grunge explosion of the 90s. Then left the station behind when it started to become just another playl...

Re: WMYD (RF31) will be switching over to ATSC 3.0 on December 7th.

Bad News, there is only 1 turner available that is reasonably priced, but it is for connecting to your computer network, not directly to the TV. So I won't have a ATSC 3.0 turner when the switch happens.

Good News, when I do get a ATSC 3.0 DVR box for my TV I will have stations to pick up.
