Re: 38 off the air?
Playing with a TV around 3:30 yesterday at the Salvation Army in Southfield (Greenfield/Lincoln), using a twistee for an antenna, I did scan and 38 came in.

A movie I don't see here is Super Sicker, filmed in Jackson. More info https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Sucker. Having never seen the movie, I'm not sure how good it is.

Will WLS in Chicago consider changing its call letters since Sears is going under? WLS = World's Largest Store (Sears). I doubt it.

Re: Scanners
TT, you should be able to receive something. Keep in mind there are no restrictions over the water and there aren't any until the signal hits land. I had a portable marine radio in one of my vehicles and it picked up signals from Lake St. Clair/Detroit River in the Plymouth area (some 20+ miles away...

Re: Walmart Violating Rights of Shoppers
I believe in mutual trust between the store and customer. I'm going to trust they are selling me good product(s) and they should trust me to pay for it. I am not a thief and have returned to the store to pay for something the cashier did not ring up, gave me too much change (even for a penny), and d...

Re: Music squeeze on some stations
It isn't/wasn't done just on the airwaves, but also on cassettes and CDs. For cassettes it meant less tape was used and CDs to not have to go to a second CD...saving the manufacturer $$$. I recently heard a Beatles song sped up so much they sounded like girls singing.

Re: Surprise!
It took me 5 hours to get home yesterday after work. I went from Dearborn to Lafontaine Subaru and dropped off my car there. After leaving the dealer in a loaner, I was almost seriously injured or killed by a pickup 25-30 mph from SB M-5 to WB Maple. The vehicle was out of control from being in a hu...

Re: WPON WCXI Updates - 2019
I noted both stations on yesterday 3-5ish as I was leaving Lafontaine Subaru in Commerce TWp (Maple between M-5/Haggerty). From there I was on my way home (Jackson) and checked in on them from time to time. Both sounded like they had equal signal strength (or close to it). WCXI was playing Spanish m...

Re: Most Dangerous Roundabouts In Michigan
If MDOT was allowed to build I-275 from its northern terminus up to I-75 around Pontiac back in the 70's, that roundabout would be an interchange. 20 years later M-5 was built as an answer to solve some of the heavy traffic on that area's roads. IMHO MDOT missed its mark by not buying the property o...
