Given the problems with the podcasts (July 25, 2022?), I've started to record Sports Talk with Ron Cameron with an MP3 device via the station's stream. As a consequence I have the entire July 24, 2022 broadcast downloaded.

Happy to report new Sports Talk with Ron Cameron podcasts are ostensibly available. I state "ostensibly" because I haven't heard them and in the spirit of the "cavalcade of incompetence" (my term) we've come to know, the podcasts are dated "July 25, 2022!"

I can't help but wonder if WDTK hasn't told Ron his podcasts aren't being produced. By Ron's own admission he doesn't have a computer, so perhaps WDTK is keeping Mr. Cameron "in the dark?" (I just checked WDTK's website and as I told Ron, the latest podcast is from July 3, 2022.)

Is anyone at WDTK held responsible for Ron's podcasts? Are the podcasts part of the fee Mr. Cameron pays for airtime? As of 2:25pm July 21, 2022; the latest podcast of "Sports Talk with Ron Cameron" dates back to July 3, 2022; whereas "6 O'clock Talk with Darryl Wood" is au courant with July 20, 202...

I have broached the subject of a lack of podcasts to Ron on air and he acknowledged the situation. I don't know how much input he has on the process.

Ron may be correct regarding Mike Illitch's academic progress. While Wikipedia's entry for Mr. Illitch states he was a graduate of Cooley High School, the footnoted source only makes reference to his "attending Cooley."

After listening to an on-air recording of the first hour of June 26, 2022's cavalcade of incompetence, I believe I can put to rest my suspicion of Ron's comments being "too hot to handle" for WDTK's podcasts. A caveat regarding the podcast for the last two hours of June 26, 2022's show: After the promotion for 6 O'Clock Talk with Darryl Wood, the volume is very low. After the recording of the news, the remnants of Ron's show begins.

A bona fide question for Ron historians: In Mr. Cameron's history of brokered radio broadcasts, has he ever used a recording of a previous show in lieu of a live transmission?

A podcast resembling last Sunday's show is now available on WDTK's website. Maybe the listing is temporary, as hours "1,2 and 3" are shown, but the recording is only 1:58:52 long. Listening to the podcast, the 7pm newscast is included and "Sports Talk" starts with the second hour.

Agreement on CKWW's signal, even on the east side of metropolitan Detroit, the signal isn't as good as it used to be.
