Son of Former Democrat State Representative Murders Five in Minneapolis

From the Star Tribune: https://m.startribune.com/4-women-one-girl-dead-after-crash-on-lake-street-in-minneapolis/600283376/ It is Thompson's second hit and run accident to severely injure or kill someone. https://keyt.com/news/crime/2020/02/05/driver-in-montecito-hit-and-run-that-put-woman-in-coma-s...

Re: Keep Kristians Out of Sex Ed

Do we need a load of Lord's Chicken Karen's who hated public education dictating our reproductive education? Most of their spawn arrived by stork, what business do they have being involved in this business? Maybe this will be our next referendum for 2024. TRAVERSE CITY — A conservative Michigan pol...

Re: Move to Michigan for safe abortions and transgender protections

The numbers are also rather misleading. It matters how many total abortions there were in raw numbers. The ratio of percent of abortions to percent of the population doesn’t. If you’re gonna do this… do it right man. Good to know because the whole "Black Lives Matter" police brutality movement depe...

Re: Detroit Nielsen numbers for radio - January 2023

Looks like a couple stations might have a "meter." Loyal listeners can cause a pop even without a big cume jump. WLLZ and WDVD didn't seem to attract a lot of new ears even with a decent bump. WDVD now trailing WCSX in total listeners. That would have been unheard of prepandemic. You would think Gra...

WDVD Rebrands Its Morning Show

The Blaine Fowler Morning Show is now Blaine and Lauren. It recently lost its executive producer and third personality. Six years ago there were four cohosts and one fewer hour...the trend is not going in the right direction. I think the station is going to clean house and flip formats before summer...

Re: Christmas Music Watch 2022

Real question is who gets hurt. WOMC will lose share. I would guess WYCD and WDRQ will drop some. WDVD usually does but they are so low already...

Re: September Nielsen Monthly

Hard to blame the Program Director as he is also responsible for New Country rising in the ratings in the face of increased competition in the genre. Salaries will need to be adjusted if DVD is now the 15th most listened to station in Detroit. The PD is the first person to look to when a station ta...

Re: September Nielsen Monthly

LOL at 96.3's rating. Cumulus gives DVD much more attention and resources and now they're behind WDRQ. Hard to blame the Program Director as he is also responsible for New Country rising in the ratings in the face of increased competition in the genre. Salaries will need to be adjusted if DVD is now...

Re: Nielesn Audio Ratings for May

WDVD is looking at some layoffs if those numbers don't improve soon. Something tells me Blaine Fowler is making more than what Broadway was getting for being on 93.1.

Re: Numbers

I bet they would pull above a two share doing a Duke classic country format. Between the two Canadian options and WYCD there are too many current country stations on the FM dial.

Re: Radio Ratings: October 8 - November 4

Hard to believe that iHeart has done another round of Detroit cuts while Cumulus stays the course without an FM station in the Top 13 in the market.

Creatives of color? I am beyond tired of every person being boiled down to one trait: the color of their skin. David Duke doesn't have to work anymore. He can sit back and let SJWs popularize his toxic ideology.

Re: Westwood One News going silent end of August

It had 900 affiliates at last check. I just can't imagine that news wasn't in demand right now. Hard to see your run of the mill local jock not being nervous at a Cumulus station right now. There is only so much national programming they can cut.
