One of my all time favorites- Buddy Holly Peggy Sue, Peggy Sue Got Married, Rock Around with Ollie Vee Bo Diddley - Bo Diddley The Highwaymen (50s-60s group, not to be confused with the 80s Country supergroup): Michael, Row the Boat Ashore (this one was actually a Billboard Hot 100 #1 single in earl...

A station that’s network O&O has to air the entire network’s lineup. No preemptions.
100% false. Look no further to WLS-TV Chicago regularly preempting ABC programming for Cubs baseball. There are countless other examples of network owned & operated TV stations airing alternate programming.

Re: Guests replying to topics and other strange things

Those "guests" are more than likely bots that are probing the software for a backdoor way in. That part of the phpbb software is likely written so that those attempts are displayed as what you are seeing.

Re: Fake news, agenda-driven bias, and ignorance

How was that incident with the MAGA-hat boys thing even worthy of initial coverage by the so-called mainstream media? No one got hurt. No one even touched anyone else. No one broke any laws. There was no reason for law enforcement to be called (and thankfully no one did). Nothing happened other than...

Re: Mario Impemba speaks out after altercation

I found it interesting that neither took the time to apologize. Primarily to each other and FSD, but also to the Tigers. Now that the 90-day cooling off period is over, I'd expect we'll start hearing more about who will take the FSD openings - and if either Mario or Rod will be in the running for a ...

Re: AMP 98.7 flipping!

They just aired a VO that mentioned Amp "went a little crazy". Maybe a throwback to just doing Christmas music weekends only?

Doesn't have the feel of a permanent format change - yet.

Re: Speed limits

Most urban freeways were not designed for 75 - too many ingress and egress points.

Is the 90% are already going 80 thing hyperbole or fact?

Re: Speed limits

Artificially low speed limits are also a safety hazard due to the disparity between the "I'm not going over 55ers" and the "Screw it, I'm still doing 80ers". No amount of policing can fix that. 70 is good for most of Michigan, maybe 75 in areas where the exits are roughly more than 2 miles apart.

Re: Speed limits

Out west where the the speed limits are 80, my completely unscientific experience was that it was surprisingly rare to be passed while doing 80. Most seemed perfectly happy between 75-80.

Re: Splain This Rucy!

Volunteering is a 'fun' area of tax law. Many concert / sports venues use "volunteers" to staff concessions. The workers/volunteers are not paid, instead the venue "donates" a percentage to the charities that provide the volunteers. Very creative way to get VERY cheap labor - often for way less than...
