Re: Scripps is in trouble yet again for workplace harassment!

It's a broadcast station - you work a lot of holidays, comes with the turf. Besides, Jewish holiday's often are closely align with Christian ones. Passover is at same time as Easter, Hanukkah is same time as Christmas. But as both religions use different calendars, it's not always the case every ye...

Re: Another lame weather gimmick

When managers who clearly don’t watch their own newscasts or get out of the building to talk with real viewers, they actually think these ideas will save TV, reverse the trend of viewership loss, and the declining advertising revenue as companies realize that TV newscasts are filled with exactly th...

The second half-hour is just a repeat of the first half-hour.
Makes no sense to me -- usually when there's only a half-hour newscast, they would put a sitcom on at 10:30, then save the repeat for late night.

In east Windsor... WUPW/WMNT awol.
As WMNT is a LPTV, it's too weak to re received far outside Toledo. And considering its current programming state, it's pointless.

Re: Misheard Song Lyrics

Misheard, but not necessarily a "lyric" -- The Surfaris' "Wipeout" begins with a sound of a breaking surfboard and a maniac shouting, "ha ha ha ha ha, wipe out!" The sound of the breakage sounded more like rattling, so I always interpreted it as the "wipeout" guy putting a hex on the poor surfer.

Re: Antenna TV gone?

Something's way off here. Not quite sure if WMNT just does not care, is a tax write-off, or if they are purposely trying to get away with murder. If I owned the station and no longer care about its operation, I would FedEx the license to Washington for cancellation and sell the equipment on eBay. I...

"This summer make My TV your TV".... as a still on 48.1. WTF? It's Winter, not summer. No program seen.... just the still. Nobody monitoring.
Is MNTV even promoting themselves these days? All they've carried the last few years were off-network reruns.

Re: WJRT is taking a beating on Facebook

Cheri Hartman was the worst possible choice they could’ve made for weekend anchor. She can’t talk to save her life. I actually look forward to when she’s off and Mallory Pearson fills in for her... I think the problem runs deeper than the anchor. A lot of their problems are technical, code issues a...

Personally, it's more the fault of the shyster promoter who thought that MLK can wear bling and "twerk".

Re: Surprising programming change upcoming to WGN America; 3 hour national newscast to debut

I think since they stopped being a superstation and dropped all Chicago news and sports, their ratings are down. I'm not sure if adding a 3-hour newscast will help the ratings or not. It might be interesting to watch, though. One thing I don't get is that while there is speculation that WGN America...

Re: Iheart Disloctation

Ok, can WNCI use the "Chillicothe's #1 hit music channel?" To me, there is no logic. And it's not number 1. The only thing is that Chillicothe is a small town south of Columbus that is part of the larger city's radio market, while Akron is a large city with its own radio market that happens to be i...

Re: Three CBS-Owned CW Stations Add Nightly News

The newscasts will be produced at another CBS-owned station, which will add national news, sports and weather, then sent back to the station where it will air. In Detroit's case, it will be produced at another CBS-owned station that has a full news department. WKBD Detroit will debut 10 p.m. news J...
