Oh look, lovinlife came to make a contribution towards his obsession with the word gay.
I do find such use of the word as offensive.

Re: Covid 19 Media Layoffs Begin - Entercom

They say the economy will recover the second half of the year but I strongly doubt it. When this crisis ends, they'll be a need for more employees and advertising as places and venues open back up. But of course, this is the media we're talking about, and if the new formula works great now, any bet...

...the town hall meeting is to be hosted by Detroit news anchors Carolyn Clifford of Channel 7, Huel Perkins of Channel 2 and Devin Scillian of Channel 4. So nowhere does it say an anchor from out of state will be participating.
Or outside the Detroit market, for that matter.

Re: WOTV Post Repack

WZZM really should have a fill-in translator in the Holland/Zeeland area. It's obvious to me that their owner, Tegna, doesn't give two rips about over-the-air signal penetration. A lot of people along & south of M-21 who watch over-the-air seem to have a very difficult time getting reception from W...

Sink is stating "and having them tune to 25-66 whose focus is now squarely on Genesee County." Even though their city of license is SAGINAW! I thought 25's COL was Clio? Which is in Genessee County According to the broadcast history books, what is now WEYI signed on in 1953 as WKNX-TV, Channel 57, ...

Re: Layoffs

Comparing cancer to coronavirus is like comparing an apple to an old shoe -- many who die of cancer die months, or even years, after diagnosis, giving them ample time to be treated. I did NOT compare the two as a condition. You missed the point. Personally, "R", you refuse to even SEE the point you...

Comparing cancer to coronavirus is like comparing an apple to an old shoe -- many who die of cancer die months, or even years, after diagnosis, giving them ample time to be treated. Those who die of coronavirus die just days or a few weeks at most after diagnosis, hence the reason why they're rushin...

All my life I always referred to the Bay City / Saginaw / Midland area as the "Tri Cities" -- not going to stop now.

This manufactured crisis is effecting a lot of people from their jobs, not just the entertainment industry. Manufactured crisis? People are dying... But I do agree this is going to have a major, long lasting impact on businesses, their workers and our economy for a long time. In Italy, one in ten p...

Re: “Taking the church to the people”

For what it's worth, when I first saw this thread, I thought it was about local churches aggressively using TV, YouTube and social media to broadcast its sermons in lieu of traditional in-person services during the coronavirus crisis, but apparently I was wrong.

Turn off all the news. That’s what I did. I’m not falling for their hype.
And if you need news, stick to the newspapers -- I've been generally avoiding TV news long before the coronavirus, and radio for as long as I can remember.

242 – WKYU (PBS 24 Bowling Green)
Funny that Nashville's PBS channel is near the very top of the line-up, yet the public outlets that relate to Kentucky more are near the bottom.
