Speaking of Jake, that mustache would make a nice push broom.

Keven deitz solo? No thanks. They’d be better off playing old tapes of David Newman.
I would tune in every day to hear old tapes of David Newman. In my tens of thousands of hours listening to radio, he is/was second to none.

Re: The Ghost Of Bill Kennedy

Bill Kennedy At The Movies in July 1980. At the time of the GOP Convention in Detroit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oiPCrcjedBM This is such an amazing clip. I've never seen this much of the show archived before. Live ad reads! In one case, the pitch was live but not even from Bill himself! I ...

I remember one of the local stations showing The Bowery Boys movies every afternoon in the mid sixties.

Re: Ron Cameron

He had many rough edges in grooming, eating habits, and debate manners. He lacked subtlety. GROOMING!!!!! lmao I guess we have to be careful with that word, because of the kind of grooming that Craig Monroe recently made (in)famous. In Ron's case, those rough edges in grooming included sockless ...

Rogers scored an inside the park home run last night. Somewhere, Ron is smiling at the all-out effort given by his favorite son, Jake Rogers. https://img.mlbstatic.com/mlb-images/image/upload/ar_16:9,g_auto,q_auto:good,w_1024,c_fill,f_jpg/mlb/em8mlmrrjnhrl9cytwb0 An ITPHR by a catcher has to be ...

Re: Ron Cameron

I was planning on joining the gathering of the RC fan club today, but as luck would have it, I have been called upon at the last minute to help out with a neighborhood project that has popped up. Hopefully there will be another get together before too long. Have fun everyone.

Re: Ron Cameron

I wonder if the short caption fulfilled Ted Kulfan's pledge to write Ron's biography. Also, the same week Ron died, two lesser known old-time hockey players died—Jean-Guy Talbot and Don Poile. The kind of guys that Ron was fond of interviewing. Yeah, but Ron's bread and butter interviewee was the c ...

Here is a picture that accompanies what I think was the only Detroit News acknowledgement of Ron's death. I'd never seen this picture before. https://www.gannett-cdn.com/authoring/authoring-images/2024/03/21/PDTN/73048637007-cameron.png https://www.detroitnews.com/picture-gallery/sports/2024/01/10 ...

Re: Ron Cameron

Last night, Byron Buxton went from second to third on a pitch that got past Jake Rogers. Then Buxton scored on a ground ball when Rogers couldn't handle a throw to the home plate. https://youtu.be/BknW2a00pKs?si=9QF0T5R66XP9CRdY&t=443 If Ron had seen that, his head would have exploded with ...
