Bally Sports May Lose TV Rights to MLB Next Week
Re: Bally Sports May Lose TV Rights to MLB Next Week
Starting April 1st, TV20 wil begin simulcasting some of Bally's Red Wings and Piston games. Looks like some kind of experiment with OTA and streaming possibly leaving the cable channel behind in the near future. No word if there are plans to do the same with Tigers games. Do not know how or if CW programming will be preempted.

Excellent news! The cord cutters plus Windsor and Sarnia will be pleased. CW will probably go to one of 7’s subchannels, unless they want to go old school and show it overnights.Editorcj wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2024 10:06 pmStarting April 1st, TV20 wil begin simulcasting some of Bally's Red Wings and Piston games. Great news. I’d love to see these games without having a cable, satellite or streaming subscription.

Probably using TV 20 thru mid-April as the overflow for nights when the Tigers, Red Wings, and Pistons are playing simultaneously and Bally has the rights for all three.
It's happened before at the start of the MLB regular season as the NHL and NBA are still winding down.

Bally RSN is not going away, and it will be an 'incremental cost' for Amazon Prime subscribers.

With TV 20 picking up games, areas outside of Detroit get screwed out of those games
Re: Bally Sports May Lose TV Rights to MLB Next Week
This is starting to get confusing where to watch sports, I have Ballys on my Spectrum package, will it end or just change to different channel?

I noticed Bally's recently increased the monthly price of their streaming channel by $5. It is now $19.99 a month. No thanks!

They/them, non-binary and proud.
Remember that “2000 Mules” was concocted by a circus of elephants.
The right needs to stop worry about what’s between people’s legs. Instead, they should focus on what’s between their ears.
Audacity sucks.

Bally Sports has become unwatchable for both the Tigers and Red Wings. With their stupid "Pick The Stick" with the Tigers, and "Light The Lamp" with the Red Wings. Add John Keating to that list. The only ones on Bally that are watchable are Chris Osgood and Mickey Redmond. Mickey's a hoot.

TV20 is broadcasting five Pistons games.
April 1st vs. Memphis is the first listed.

April Fool's Day. Very fitting since the Pistons are involved!

It really has degraded. All Bally Sports RSNs have the most obnoxious screen graphics and bugs, totally oblivious that people with OLEDs are thinking "shit, is that crap going to burn my screen?"Willie108 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 28, 2024 6:28 amBally Sports has become unwatchable for both the Tigers and Red Wings. For those who want to stick it to them, there are plenty of tutorials on using Wireguard for out of market TV viewing. They banned VPN services, but they can't ban private VPNs between residential users.
