62.5 = Story

It happened recently and I noticed it Sunday while channel surfing.

I noticed it last night. Just like 62.4, 62.5 doesn't broadcast any program information so I'm not sure what this programming is.

I get it on the Frndly TV app. It's a documentary channel, with different nights focusing on different kinds of subjects, like biography, history, science, etc.

Just noticed it too when I had to rescan an older TV. Wish WWJ would fix their guide data on the OTA streams!!

The funny part of that is that they are already carrying it.

Unless they negotiated some type of waiver (which would be extremely hard to do) they're required to carry all the bits of the broadcast channel, which would include the subchannels. To make it available to subscribers all they'd have to do is pick a channel number for it to show up and modify the transport stream to identify it (just a config setting).

i am not sure that comcast picks up all of channel 31 and 38's subchannels, but i have'nt gone down the list and compared

The only one they don't carry - unfortunately, IMO - is Cozi.
