Sorry, MW, while I love your posts and your board, this one needs correction.MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Thu Oct 19, 2023 6:36 pmAnother rock solid ratings book for WIOT. Also of note, K100 earned its best beauty pageant result in quite some time with a 10.6 share, and WRQN looks solid, too.
Elsewhere:
- Kiss is sagging but still looks respectable
- Q105 is below a 2 share (as is 94.9)
- Hardly anyone listens to AM radio in Toledo (Speedy's A25-54 share has GOT to be abysmal if they're only at a 2.7 share in the beauty pageant numbers)
- 98.3's numbers have been at or near all-time record lows for the Toledo Metro Survey Area now for several straight book.
Of note, listed stations represent only ~55 percent of audio listening recorded by Nielsen, which means a LOT of listening to streaming audio / smart devices, SXM, podcasts, unreported stations and/or out of market stations must be occurring in the Toledo market.
I'm guessing Mix, Hot, Juice and Wolf collectively account for 12 or 13 shares of listening.
The numbers quoted by you here are "shares" - which is defined by Nielsen/Arbitron as (emphasis mine) ..
Link - Radio Survey DefinitionsSHARE -The percentage of those listening to radio in the Metro who are listening to a particular radio station.
The other ~45% is actual radio listening.. not podcasts or streamers or even SXM as they are not measured or considered "radio listening".
Link - Listening to SiriusXM Radio isn’t quantified by Nielsen in the form of a syndicated measurement service like thousands of local radio stations are.
Nielsen only lists paying subscribers in the public releases and the two urban stations that don't subscribe consistently do very well in the market.
