Chase field hasn't had natural grass since 2019. What a very welcome change to not see H*** chunks of brown grass all over the field!
Side note: It is always fun to go to Dbacks vs Tigers games, where 80% of the fans had Tigers gear on.

I don't think any sane person thought that worked out well in the LA Coliseum.SoupySez wrote: ↑Sun Apr 23, 2023 8:48 pmNeither was the L.A. Coliseum when the Dodgers moved there, but they made it work for a few years till Dodger Stadium was built. And plenty of other stadiums that were used for both sports.craig11152 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 23, 2023 8:27 amBecause it's not configured to accommodate baseball?MasterB wrote: ↑ why can't they play where the Raiders play until the new stadium is built for the A's?
My apologies. I forgot they switched it around.teetoppz28 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 24, 2023 10:12 amChase field hasn't had natural grass since 2019. What a very welcome change to not see H*** chunks of brown grass all over the field!

As someone who's attended many games there, it was such a wonderful site to see the new turf for the first time!SD45 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 24, 2023 1:46 pmMy apologies. You still have at least this year and 2024. I’ll be catching an A’s and a Giants game next week.Mega Hertz wrote: ↑Sun Apr 23, 2023 9:26 amGod damn it. I wanted to take a vacation to the bay area, visit the Golden Gate Bridge, swing by 924 Gilman St. and see an A's game (they've always been my #2 team). I can't believe Vegas is getting so much love, isn't it the country's biggest small town?
Nope. It looks like the Athletics name is heading to its fourth city.
Plus there's already the Las Vegas Aces in the WNBA.Chrocket87 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 27, 2023 8:10 amNope. It looks like the Athletics name is heading to its fourth city.

We have a trip to Florida coming up in a couple weeks. Ah, bring your own lawn chair airlines - I'd avoid that at all costs.Mega Hertz wrote: ↑Thu Apr 27, 2023 10:05 pmWe have a trip to Florida coming up in a couple weeks. And bring your own entertainment along with Tylenol. Flew Spirit to Vegas a few years ago and felt so sore at the end. I’ll fly Frontier/Spirit for an hour flight tops now.Mega Hertz wrote: ↑Thu Apr 27, 2023 10:05 pmWe have a trip to Florida coming up in a couple weeks.
