Cruise Night
Re: Cruise Night
Have NOT been to London, Ontario since the last week of May 1981 (41 years ago) during a school bus ride heading to Toronto in 8th grade & I was 16 years old!!
Re: Cruise Night
Glad to see an Edsel there, but...nobody rolled in with a Meteor, Acadian, Monarch, Fargo, Beaumont, or Mercury pickup truck?
Re: Cruise Night
There was a Fargo.
I don't mean to brag, but I just put a puzzle together in 1 day and the box said 2-4 years.
Re: Cruise Night
Nice...with a '65 Meteor Montcalm droptop parked next to it!
Re: Cruise Night
Somehow, there seems to be more dignity in a rusted old truck than in one that's been repainted and dressed up with chrome parts

Re: Cruise Night
A truck that looks like that Fargo just makes you wonder about all the fun times and adventures that were had by the people who used it so much.
The folded-under front licence plate is a nice touch. Did someone do that while road hunting out in the bush? Hmm...

Re: Cruise Night
So, TT, what kind of cars did you have back in the day?
I bet you once owned a Pontiac Laurentian...

Re: Cruise Night
Never. My dad was die hard MoPar. It was like a religion with him. He might not have allowed a GM vehicle in his driveway. He'd be turning over in his grave if he knew the crap I'm driving today.

Re: Cruise Night
I should have figured you were from a MoPar family, having mentioned Fargo trucks more than once on here...
With my Dad, the Big Three are Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury. I once owned an '11 Chevy Cruze Eco, and it was the most trouble-prone new car I've owned. Dad, who was always excited to take a spin in any new Ford I bought, refused to drive it. He never ribbed me about buying a Chevy, but I know that deep down inside, he was feeling pretty smug when I traded it in a few days after the warranty ran out.
