Rainbow / Stone Cold
Aldo Nova / Fantasy

Re: WLLZ Deep Cut Saturday
So I pretty much kept the station on as I was driving around on Saturday, and even had it on in the house a lot, and even listened as I did some yard work. Looking through the recently played from Saturday I see they played a few from my list
"On the Loose" Saga
"Fantasy" Aldo Nove
“Good Times Roll” The Cars
"Blinded by the Light" Manfred Mann's Earth Band
“Solsbury Hill” Peter Gabriel
Some other tracks I was surprised they actually played
"Modern Love" David Bowie
"Just What I Needed" The Cars
"Brass in Pocket" Prentenders
"No Reply At All" Genesis
"White Room" Cream
"Land of Confusion" Genesis
"It's The End Of The World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)" R.E.M.
"Fire Women" The Cult
"Oh Well" The Rockets
"Run to the Hills" Iron Maiden
"Roxanne" The Police
"New Girl Now" Honeymoon Suite
"Iron Man" Black Sabbath
J. Geils Band still blacklisted

Re: WLLZ Deep Cut Saturday
"The Rock", a now-defunct SE Ontario station, used to play "Fantasy" as part of its can-con requirement. WCSX used to regularly play "Let The Good Times Roll" , " No Reply At All" and " White Room".l guess due to their pre-occupation with 80s music, they must have phased them out.szmigiel wrote: ↑Sun May 12, 2019 7:29 amSo I pretty much kept the station on as I was driving around on Saturday, and even had it on in the house a lot, and even listened as I did some yard work. In my opinion, "Brass In Pocket" and "Iron Man" are not deep cuts.
"Roxanne"? Seriously? I thought several stations were still spinning that stale tune into the ground.
Re: WLLZ Deep Cut Saturday
Most of this list is regular air play hardly deep cuts take it from a radio Dude. Only 4 songs on that list are possible deep cuts if this is what WLLZ considerers deep cuts then they will fail.Y M Ionhere wrote: ↑Sun May 12, 2019 10:16 am"The Rock", a now-defunct SE Ontario station, used to play "Fantasy" as part of its can-con requirement. Re: WLLZ Deep Cut Saturday
I agree with Chuck and Y M. Many of those tracks receive airplay on a fairly high number of classic rock stations routinely.
Weekdays, 106.7's playlist is on the narrow side compared to many classic rock stations. That said, the song choices have improved over the past few weeks. Some stuff that simply doesn't belong has been weeded out.

Morgan Wallen is a piece of garbage.
Re: WLLZ Deep Cut Saturday
They may receive regular play on other classic rock station, but have not been part of WLLZ playlist. I just like them expanding their playlist. I know Roxanne by The Police isn't really a true "Deep Cut" but it isn't something WLLZ hasn't been playing. So I am not commenting on them being true lost classic deep cuts, just deeper cuts then WLLZ has been playing since they came back.

Re: WLLZ Deep Cut Saturday
So Podell was asking for suggestions of deep tracks to play on the WLLZ Facebook page. I doubt he plays 99% of the ones he gets as the songs aren't corporate approved, consultants haven't checked with the focus group, yada-yada-yada. But I suggested a list of deep cuts for him anyways . . .

Re: WLLZ Deep Cut Saturday
You’re absolutely correct as many have said some New York office jerk-off is making the playlist not Podell.
Re: WLLZ Deep Cut Saturday
The Buzzboard got a shout out from the Doctor today before playing "Raise a Little Hell" by Trooper.
Re: WLLZ Deep Cut Saturday
YEP, they played "Raise A Little Hell" back in the day of 98.7 WLLZ around 1981!!
