Most AMP's listeners were middle school and high school aged kids. CBS did a reprehensibly bad job of making that station relevant to anyone over the age of 18 and especially anyone over the age of 21.
Morgan Wallen is a piece of garbage.

One day, I hope to see this thread started with the first post saying "...has changed formats as of 5pm today". Oooooooweeeeeoooooo.

Re: Channel 95.5
I see we have a channel 955 hater in the house.
Now I personally don't "hate it"... but... I always preferred DRQ and then AMP over them.
I'll leave it at that..
But I certainly did listen to the station more than anyone should listen to the radio when I was in middle school.
Ahh, the memories of harassing the DJ's in 5th grade with my friend trying to pretend to be 20 different people wanting to hear "Without Me" by Eminem and "In The End" by Linkin Park

Re: Channel 95.5
I will absolutely cop to that.
I, too, loved DRQ back when. Know why? For a while, they played hits across a different spectrum. A song would actually cross over into top 40 and get airplay. You've seen my YouTube channel, check out the hour of programming I made. It wasn't unusual to hear Weezer, Fuel, Jimmy Eat World, blink 182, Green Day, American Hi Fi, Fuel, Blessed Union of Souls, even The Killers on DRQ. Dance music. Rock music. Hip hop. All mixed in with true pop product.
To quote Steve Harvey, "Shit ain't like that no more".
